^ the real nuisance is that it seems to be even more expensive on their website  i'll happily stick with bonds instead, much better value

^ if you're only going to own one hoody, that's a perfectly acceptable hoody to own- nice, classic and basic, i give it thumbs up ;-)

Bought a Gildan navy blue S hoody from kmart today $24 while buying some socks. It was the last S in the whole rack and luckily the color i wanted.

Surprised that i love the fit, its the fit i like. Slim fitting.

Zipper is cool and i like these pockets as less chance for stuff to fall out compared to the AAs.

I want to see how it is after a few washes (stretch etc).

    Gildan>AA ;) lol

there's so little difference in quality between $25 and $140 in hoodies, it's all down to branding in that range anyway. i was shocked when i saw how crappy the more expensive surf/skatey hoodies were this year.

The quality definitely sure feels better then the more expensive bonds hoodies too.

I presume use have gildan hoodies, do they stretch/sag much?

Might go hunt down a S in grey.

There on sale atm. $24, normal price is $35.

aaahhh, gildan are ok- as long as you bear in mind that they are the kmart house brand. i wouldn't expect too much stretch as long as you look after it, i.e. minimal washing, delicate cycle washing etc. i still prefer bonds, personally, altho honestly speaking they're probably very much on a par with each other, quality-wise. 24 sounds like the right price to me, but i'm not buying hoodies for quite some to come now, i might grab one of the reigning champs when the new northern winter line comes out and stash it away for next winter, but it's getting too warm to really get myself all stirred up over new hoodies- it was like a summers day here today!

to be honest the guildan hoodies arent GREAT quality... and i needed some extra length in mine so i washed it then hung a full bucket of water off it whilst drying ;-). so if you want it to, it will stretch a little

^ while i can't confirm the quality issue myself since i never bought one, i have to admit i don't doubt that they're not much chop. i think the key element was cost-quality ratios, where these work quite well, especially compared to some of the hundred-dollar labels that float around on the back of nothing much more than branding. if you want real quality, you need to be prepared to pay for it, and that starts around $150 mark, not the clearance bins at kmart.

Years upon years ago i had bought a Johnny Blaze hoodie that i still have just because of the weight of it. I havn't been able to really find a hoody that was about the same weight and thickness.

they run pretty small, man- or at least true to size/no-vanity. there's also the coach's jacket (in small) and a grey version, but i couldn't get the link to work. a medium will fit a small, the small rc is just a little small for me, and i wear small in aa
