Would anyone be interested in a contest where every type of jeans are allowed?

I personally would love to see a contest like this. You'll have some wearing Levi 501 STF and others wearing Nudies or APC maybe even the more expensive jeans.

A straight up free for all.

Personally I think you would need a set guidelines of rules first though. Even if it is a free for all, just a set of rules on what is not allowed (ie. how worn the jeans are, etc.).

The idea sounds not bad. The mixture of different cuts and fabrics could be really interesting. Hopefully there are enough people interested. I also might take part, but only if I can cross compete with another contest pair (or I might have to get a backup pair)

Good idea. Do agree that there needs to be some rules otherwise we might just as well judge the evo from the denim gallery and declare a winner - contest over.

well there is the HDC (heavy weight championship) contest and the contest on IR which are basicly free for all. of course no real contest on mynudies.com takes place at the moment so you might find some guys here.

but then, try to make it interesting

(but in my opinion, a real contest can only be done with the same model of jeans. otherwise it's just another evo-thread where the jeans started at the same day and end at the same. and sometimes it's hard to compare different cuts and brands in a fair way)

I agree. Maybe we can call it the evo-competition.

I think it would be nice to see a variety of fades for different pairs that we would have never seen before had it not been for a competition like this.

For example, I recently purchased a pair of Naked and Famous Raw Denim jeans and I've searched all over for a competition that maybe I could take part of; As many of you know there are none and a competition like this would shed light on unknown jeans.

It's always nice to take part of a completion as it makes you feel like your on a journey with others who are on the same path.

I'm willing to write up the rules and regulations.

I think it is always interesting to see the evo on pairs that have been worn for the same time. And the group coherence in a contest in a great thing. The klesser known the covered pairs are, the more interesting it gets. So, I might join with my Strongholds, maybe... But let's see what ideas you come up with.

a jacket contest sounds good (has been discussed before). Thing is, that most won't wear jackets on a daily base so fades would take forever to appear.

I think that in a year of 2 you could get really nice fades..even when you won't wear it on daily basis

How's this idea coming along? Has it been put on ice or is someone working out the details? I'd be up for it if this contest ever gets some traction.

I would be interested in a Free For All, but I'm not thinking of contemplating yet another pair of raw denim. So... I won't be in unless, worn pairs are allowed.

I think it's a great idea as not every style suits everybody.

If all contestants posted their brand new jeans, then progress reports regularly, I'm sure they'd be some fabulous jeans that we wouldn't have otherwise seen.

    Is this going to happen?
If so, when would be a good start date?

I've just ordered a new pair but they won't arrive until February and I'd love to use them in a contest.

I can't enter any of the other contests because my waist is 21" and my hips 27" and inside leg 34" so none of the other exciting jeans fit me.(I have to design my own).

    How about Feb/March 2012 with 2 years?

Anybody else want to sign up?

    Happy New Year everybody

Haven't posted WAYWT because in bed just in a shirt (changed 7 times in 2 days with a fever and laryngitis so I have no voice AT ALL

Bit kinky to post pics of girl in a shirt and nothing else!!!

Please please somebody else join the contest for 2 years....
