    Nudie proudly presents......

their new model Even Steven. The legs are quite slim (they look even slimmer than Slim Jim but I could be wrong there, took the wrong glasses to work today). Take a look at their fitguide at

    http://www.nudiejeans.com/fitguide/fitguide.php.

The Collection Guide hasn't been updated yet so there is no information about available washes or types of denim. I was at the biggest Nudie store in Stockholm yesterday and they didn't know anything yet.

I think it would be cool if Nudie produced a selvage model of Even Steven, the jeans in the fit guide seem to be selvage. Since there is no SJ available in selvage I've been waiting for a complement for my SSDS for quite a while.

    These are looking good :D

Agree the pic on the site looks like it has a selvage which will be extra good :D :D

So whats the deal the 'Masa'? Will this be a special edition of ES made in Japan??

i don't dig the low pockets . . . or maybe they just look bad on the model . . . can someone exlain to me the appeal? just curious. does it have to do with wanting an antifit?

anywho, they look like a tapered version of svens with low back pockets

Funny: first reactions to thinn finn were also negative. And look down the streets now: everyone is wearing TF!

Maybe one day the same for ES?

I must say that i quite like them at first sight!
the backpockets look very low but that could also be a bit accentuated by the way the guy's wearing them.
Hope they'll bring out the Steven's in some cool denim's!
I thought the model would be called Masa, but it seems that they must be a special, maybe limited, version of the ES.
And these on the fitguide are defenitely selvage! :D

Same like Thin Finn: such low pockets look awful for me. I don't like to wear the "shit in my pants" look. Slim guys just look ill in such jeans. It's like they would be too slim for the most slim jeans. (just my taste)
And it's not just because the guy in the fitguide wears them low. You can see that he wears them as usual jeans, besides Nudie writes that is has a low pocket position.

Now the Flare Glenn is really gone and we don't have jeans with real bootcut anymore. :( Ola and Ralf have narrow ones.

maan there is something weird about this jeans ! its either the guy whos making the jeans look weird orr the jeans looks weird ..

theres something good about it and theres something bad about it which makes it look funny..

from the top of the jeans untill the knee part is good ! regular i say...but when it comes from the knees till the bottom end of the cuffs, thats weird !

    overall its goood,

    PEACE OUT

well, that's the whole idea of Even Steven, isn't it?

The longer I look at this new model in the fit guide the more uncertain I get, I am really in two minds about these jeans. I like the general shape, especially the legs, but am very unsure about the low yoke. A bit too low for my taste. On the other hand.....

However, I wasn't to crazy about the Straight Svens either when they first arrived and now they have been my favorite jeans for quite some time.

Yeah, I've been waiting for this style too. Finally!

Even Steven is a modified Ralf. Take a Ralf and make the legs slimmer and the yoke lower and you pretty much have Even Steven.

These are some weird-ass jeans, especially since they are basically in between a SS and a SJ, a gap that really didn't need filling IMO. Hey, if they sell, they sell.

Those jeans look pretty nice but the yoke is faaaar to low in my opinion, hopefully it's just that the guy wears them really low!

i don't feel the yolk is that bad, i really like them. i'd have to see them in person, and if they fit well and looked good on a short guy (me!), i'd def. try them out. i'm much more into the thin finn's and SJ's, but these looks comfortable...

Yes, the jeans are not bad if you are a hip hoper.

    Man, that was deep.

Even Steven, the average knight of mediocrity. But I think you are exaggerating a bit, I am going to wait and give Steven a chance when he hits the stores here in Sweden. If I don't like him I saw this nice SJ Dry Black the other day........ 8)
