Well, I can't find a pic of the TFBBC, but it could be the difference of rope dyed vs. overdyed black. The inside of the ES is ecru, is the inside of your TF black or ecru colored? If they look the same, then perhaps the "ecru" is in reference to the stitch color rather than the weft of the denim...

yes it is a pre wash
They look alike because of the coating on them both

The ES blue black almost looks black when they are brand new.

okay, it's been a while, and now, with 2008 approaching:
does anyone know or has anyone heard a rumour about a "real" black ES? I got the Ecru, but the pre-wash looks a bit...cheap and leaves a lot to be desired. once I got into the ES fit, I found it cheeky as hell , so I'd love a black, dry black or *gosh-dare-I-say-it* DRY BLACK SELVAGE!!!
