Yeah, whatever  But that my plan can take place, I should have them around the 19. December. Still hope I can meet Aztec in person to pick it up...

Something close to a miracle happened: my Pike Shirt in size S arrived. And since miracles do not seem to like to be on their own, there's also the rather miraculous reduction of my post count, which was 501 and I just could not help it and had to leave it there.

    Yes, I know.

There has been frowning and lack of understanding about this. Let me just say that this number has an intense meaning for me as a denim freak, and for those who just cannot get themselves to understand, many of us here have their foibles and "specifics", so please just accept this little flirt with numerology and jeans on my side here.

Incidentally, Mattias explained to me that the strangely diminished post count is due to some posts in sales threads, which were deleted after a certain time span.

Which gives me the opportunity to thank Pike Bros. for the really nice tee, and Dr. House for eventually not only obtaining it in my desired size, but even actually forwarding it to me after a little exercise in patience.....

    Here's a look

I will, of course, not wear the dog tags openly like here, but tucked under the shirt. They are "on display" here as a sign of appreciation.

Following a suggestion by Max Power, I've put on my RR Authentic Selvage jeans, bought from Sarlo here on the forum, which just arrived this week. I like them a lot, though they surely will not be worn much in the foreseeable future. Thanks here to Sarlo, it was a really good buying experience.

Finally, my newspaper had this nice gloomy commentary on Berlin, "my" city, and the place I will have the honour to introduce the Pike Engineers to. It's in German, sorry international readers, but perhaps some of my fellow Bundesländer tour mates might enjoy reading it.

Guys, I know my abstinence in posting also means that I'm not present here and communicate with some of you by personal message only. I once again ask your understanding for this. I now have two posts "free" until the post count will be 501 again, and then I don't think I will make any posts before my leg of the tour.

So let me just finish by saying that I much enjoy being part of this, and I thank you all for including me, complete with all my quirks. I love to be part of this. And PM me any time if you want to hear from me, okay?

^You've got a really nice fit in these Jeans and in the shirt, both as you like it, I assume. And the article is very interesting ;-) Thanks for posting and sharing!

Just wondering 501lover, will you stop posting forever, once your post count hits 501 again?

*Big sigh* You guys make me waste a precious post on a triviality. But since the tour is very high on my priority, so be it. Can I direct your esteemed attention to the penultimate sentence of my last post?

Since it seems to have been lost on a few of you, here it goes again: "and then I don't think I will make any posts before my leg of the tour."

    This is pretty clear, no?

In my first part of the leg I am going to visit Eisenach. So Thüringen is covered also...

Hey 501, for saving your postings you could edit the #232 in this thread for something more precious. Satan would stop posting by 666 for sure!

I agree, the Wartburg would definitely be a good spot for the tour. I recently hiked from the Wartburg to Kassel – or at least I tried… :-D I made 40 Kilometers, though.
