dunno if anyones heard about edwin jeans... a shop in aus started stocking em and the guy was giving me some info about em. something about leasing out their looms to levis or envisu or something cant rember and they have a rainbow selvage pair that had 3 colourd stiching on the inside red, yello, green and re released it and sticked the 3 colors on the back pocket. basically they seemed to me as a levis alt comfortable everyday fit. any one care to add?

I love Edwins! If my SJDB needs a day off, I usually rotate them with a pair of black Edwin Sens.

I bought a pair of dry selvage Edwin Greenvilles at the weekend - not sure whether to rinse them to shrink them first of just wear them in with turn ups for a few months before I wash them...?

yeah, im considering a pair of these but im finding it hard to find much info on them - sanforized? how much shrinkage? etc . I was in Selfriges and asked a guy in there about them and he started reeling off a spiel basically from the nudie booklets about how to wear dry jeans, even though I was wearing my nudies....Anyway....any info regarding these jeans or a link somewhere would be magnificent!

Hi - whenever I'm in London I always go to Interstate in Endell Street, Covent Garden to get some good stuff. It calls itself an American clothing store, stocking brands such as Spiewak, Carhartt, Dickies, Ben Davis and others. Their selection is excellent, it's a small store, and prices are reasonable enough for us here in the UK - I got a pair of red selvage Edwin Greenvilles for ?79 and a grey Dickies hoodie for ?35. They also had the rainbow selvage Edwins for ?99. I don't think Interstate has a website but their contact details are here http://www.coventgardenlife.com/places.asp?PlaceID=476

The staff are amazingly helpful and know their stuff about any of the clothing they stock. The guy told me the Greenvilles shrink about an inch on the waist and an inch on the leg and he suggested washing before wearing so they shrink to the tag size. I think that's probably what I'll do as I did the whole breaking in thing with my Nudie LFs.

    Hope that helps.

Interstate don't have many styles of Edwins, only two infact. You're best off going to the actual Edwin store on Neal street.

They had 3 styles in at the weekend I believe, and in a couple of different washes. I didn't know that Edwin had a store in London, I'll maybe check that out next time I'm over (probably next year!) - thanks for the tip.

i ordered a pair of these thinking that they were the ED47 rainbow selvage 225 finish 999. but theyre not....

    http://oipolloi.com/oipolloi/shop/item.php?itemno=773&name=Edwin-ED-47-Rainbow-Selvage

unlike the ones i thought i was getting these are really soft denim and it seems like they've been washed. does anyone know if they have been?

Compared to how my rrds were when they were new these are incredibly soft. So is it worth me wearing these if the denim is soft: i.e. will they fade like usual dry jeans........

    EDWIN JEANS - NEW ADVICE

    Hey Guys and girls
    I hope everyone is good!
I am interested in buying some Edwin jeans from Volls.de
Edwin ED-47 aus exclusivem Japan Red Cast Denim, handfinfished - INK JET.
It says they are 'Low Waist' - does anyone own these jeans?
I want to know how low the waist is - I dont like the waist to be too low - I dont really like that look.
How would the Edwin jeans compare in the waist to RR and SS (these are the Nudies that I wear).
    I hope someone can help!

    Buy it...

Edwin ED-47 is a awesome jeans. The color so amazing, because it made by natural indigo. I don't think the waist much lower than Nudie RR and SS. I like to wear RR and SS either so im looking something similar. At last but not least it is a rainbow selvedge, which is unique.Success

I have 2 edwin jeans of that kind, a red cast denim and a concrete denim. They are great jeans, only moderately low waist, I'd say about 1 to 2 cm lower than the RRDS I'm wearing right now. The red cast looks rather dressy for a jean, the concrete is supposed to age quickly, but I find the effect not as strong and impressive as I'd hoped it would be. Still, they are far over-average jeans.

Agree with the posters above me. Tried them on in a shop and I can say the waist isn't like lower than for example the SS.

    THANKS FOR ALL THE INFORMATION!!
I am going to buy them - I love the look of them on the Volls website - I am happy to hear the waist in not much lower than the SS.
    Thanks again!

1inch on wast 2 to 3 inch on lenght.

Hot soak 60 to 80degree inside out for 2 hrs. If it's not tight enough cold soak inside out for 5 hrs.

My way of doing it...starch the shit out of it, and then use a really hot heater or a heat gun blows towards the jean. They will shrunk and stiffen up.

    Cheer,
    Dubbo.
