Do you own an iPad, slate, pad, playbook, tablet....or whatever it's called?

If so, what do you use it for? Entertainment, emailing, couch web browsing, etc?

    I have an iPad 2 64GB 3g.

Being a uni student, it's great for days I don't wanna carry my Macbook Air (yes it's not that much but I'm lazy lol). I purchased a wireless keyboard for it and it works great. My only issue with it is that it does have full flash player so some websites don't load properly or load at all. It's also great for flights as the battery life is pretty good. Apple advertise it as 10 hours, I've gotten just about 10 hours on a full charge.

For someone who owns a MacBook Air but no iPad I find it interesting that you rather carry an iPad and a wireless keyboard than your MBA. I love my MBA but can't see that I would have any use of a tablet. That is why I created this thread....to see what you all are using it for. Thanks!

I got the iPad as a temporary thing before my MBA.

Might not be the best person to ask, but I have an IPad2 with just wifi. I won it at via raffle at an event at my uni.

I primarily use it for e-books, and wifi around the house.

I don't have one at this point, but am considering the iPad for no greater reason than I've heard garage band is great software for recording. I'll have to ask some questions about it at a store and hope that I can actually get answers.

In my last year of college, previously owned a 11" Alienware Core i5 gaming laptop (it was handy). But I realized I had too much un-utilized power, so I sold it.

I currently lug my iPad to classes everyday...and use this to type.
It has blue tooth connectivity, 90 hours usage (supposedly?....) and a long ass standby.
I use a combination of evernote+Pages+Numbers to get by. Does it "Truly" replace a laptop? Depends.
For most people, probably yes. But I do use Adobe products on my spare time, so no. But I don't have time for that crap during lectures/classes..
So far it's working well and I love my iPad!

I have an MacBook Pro and an iPad 64GB WiFi, my wife has a Mac and an iPad 64GB 3G.
I use my iPad for web browsing, emails and all things iTunes, my wife uses hers much more for meeting notes, reading, web browsing and emails.
we intended it to be used for work emails - it might happen if our current company can sort it out...

First post on an off topic discussion. Haha... Anyways, I have the first iPad with just wifi. I use it to take notes in my classes, send emails, browse the internet, and occasionally write a paper or other assignment if I forget to do it on my laptop at home. For people who don't have a keyboard attachment, have a stylus pen, and take notes on their iPad, a good app to look into is WritePad. You write with the pen on your screen and it converts the handwriting into typed text. It's a fun way to take notes and makes lectures a bit less boring.

Just an iPod - great for using in bed at night as I don't want to sit up all night on my laptop.

It's not just for music - you can do anything - id recommend it.

I have an iPad, purely use it for couch browsing (most of the times) and photo presentations.

I've got a 3G iPad that I use a lot for work (I produce apps, among other things) as well as reading, surfing the web, listening to internet radio, etc. I love it and use it as much as the MacBook I've got at home, albeit for different things.

I've had the new Asus Transformer Prime for a few weeks now, and really enjoy it. I was skeptical of the utility of such a computer before, but it has become my go to device when I'm not doing work that requires a PC. Once my net book dies, it'll be replaced with a desktop that I can control remotely with the tablet.
