Yeah, here are my pics. Roughly 1.5 years of actual wear. At least 7 cold soaks and 3 real machine washes all in cold water with Woolite Zero (detergent designed for dark clothes and has no harmful additives)

Though before you look on em, I'll give my final verdict on the cut of the jeans...

They are hit and miss, depending on if you up size or down - and your body
:frown: Though take this with a grain of salt. Everyone's body/life is different.
    I have pretty "Stalky legs"
I bought them "True to size" .
I am a 34.5" measured waist in real life, the jeans were about 34"~ measured .
    The tag says 32X34
I'm about 5"11 / 179CM and I'm a bit built, at 190 lbs with no beer belly to show for it.

My main beef with them, like others, is the construction of the jean causes you to sag them for appearance..but then the crotch ripping commences like mad. Otherwise you sort of look like a guy from the 50's (well thats unless you can pull off the look, but I wear pretty contemporary clothes so they don't sit well)
So you get this...ghetto farmer look depending on your clothes and shoes...

      • small crutch (From crotch to top of waist band or whatever)
      • Tapers way too much on true to size
      • The pants sit horribly with anything besides lowcut shoes. From boots to modern med/high sneakers, the jeans will not "slack" nicely
      • With my regular 6" Timberland boots (jeans over the boots), I look sort of like a clown due to the jeans tapering high.
      • Although they look awesome with Converse lows.

My main advice is definitely to upsize by at least 1 or 2 sizes if you have stalky legs.
Probably true to size is good if you have a regular/skinny body.
Though I'd imagine, if you have skinny legs and want a really "skinny tapered look", the Bengts would work well sized down. They really are like Thinn Finns on steroids.

    Here ya go...!

    Final Notes:

Yes my crotch blew like mad. My repairs worked, but the glue I used was WAY too stiff and I put WAY too much (Scratching my crotch....OUCH )

YES THAT SUPPOSEDLY...SILVER...BUTTON RUSTED?!?! WHAT THE HELL LOL. They're supposed to be forged out of silver?!

Oh yeah and I finnaaallllyyy got a DSLR to use for photos. No more shitty Sony Digital camera!

The troubles with crotches are more often if jeans are worn pretty thight.

Yeah, here's a fit pic ( I am sagging them like mad )
And yes, I don't wear the jeans anymore. I figure I should just go get them profesionally repaired but I had stupid quotes above $50 + They would wash the jeans. Maybe I will just have to bite it haha.

@Swiss Jeans, yes you are indeed correct. I don't know what happened but maybe the jeans shrunk alot...they used to be baggy but they're pretty tight at the waist/crotch/thigh in this picture.

They have such a nice structure, so just try tio wear them after repairing.

I have now a sewing machine and with that I can extend the denim life quite a lot. I know many people here around Zuerich who would love to wear your pants for some years more.

Greetings from the Swiss mountains to Calgary. I have been in Calgary in 1981, 1984 and 1991, just a great place with real old nice raw denim rags around that time. It was just a pitty that I didn't had any money to safe some really heavy worn out raw denim rags then. One of the best raw denim rag places at that time was the youth hostel at Calgary!!!! I still see the pics in front of my face like it was yesterday from nice Levis Big E and Lee 101-J pants and denim jackets!!!!!!!!

Hey guys, contestants and owners of a LAB 16, i need some help here. I'm about to buy a pair of BB LAb 16 and i have red the whole thread and i couldn't find a confirmation about sizing. Dont fire me...;)
I wear W32 in Joes and SJ's and i tried in the shop a pair of Sharp Bengts Recycled, and W30 was snug fit but fine, question is:
A BB LAB 16 in size W30 would fit me as the Sharp BB did or would be more snug fit?
    Thanks in advance...

Hey man, the LAB version should fit you fine if the other BB was fine, if anything the LAB tends to fit a little bigger, and also there is stretch to account for, so go with LAB Bengt in 29, or 30.

Thanks for the info! One more question, I'm a regular L32 and the pair I would buy are L34. In that model, the difference would be to noticeable?

If you look at my pictures you'll see what L34 looks like stacked, i usually need length 31-32 as well.

If you already have the same denim, try the greencast i say... mix it up!

My Jeans update. You will see from the crotch repairs why i dont really wear these anymore :)

I did all the repairs myself by hand, seeing as i didnt really want to send the jeans to anyone... turned out a little funny looking in hindsight though.

    Nice fadings on them too.

Nudies are still one of my favorite fading brands together with ALD, APC Imperial and Edwin (beside the special category of heavy weight denim stuff like Samurai, Iron Heart,...)

PS: I'm really wondering to see some heavy faded Pike Brother stuff here on the forum

    g
    onna rock it with suspenders.

What have you all been breaking in lately? I know many of you have retired your big bengts.
    I've been rotating
    1) ESOD : even stevens (via cultizm on it's clearance sale years ago)
    2) Levi 501 STF (40$ at an outlet!)
    3) a pair of skinny guy naked&famous selvage (70$ on sale!)

I've actually managed to slowly break through all my unworn denim.

Oh and for pics, I'll post em when I finish this damn market research report from school :X

That's a real nice choice. I just got the same Pike Brothers 1 week ago and they look and feel fantastic for a 15 oz pants.

In case anybody is interested about my last used pants since 1973 (And as you know, I'm a very slow raw denim eating monster using just 1 pants and denim jacket each second year only and then in use downgraded as leisure and at the end as work pants):

    Denime 2010 till now
G-Star US First selvaged raw denim 2009-2010
    Pepe raw denim 2008-2010
    Levis Engineered raw 2006-2008
    Evisu 2004-2006
    Edwin American classic 2002-2004
    ....
and so on back till 1973

About my denim jackets: I'm usually wearing a Lee Storm Rider 101-LJ like my and a second unlined Lee denim jacket during winter time. The current jacket and the pants are around 600 day wear mark and pretty rough now. I have to downgrade them soon from my office clothes to my leisure and work clothes

And because I'm still wearing waist 32 since 30 years I can wear all my old stuff from time to time as real rough work pants/denim jackets before resending them back into thge Jeansmuseum for another long rest

Since the LABs I started wearing a pair of SDA, which I later rotated mainly with some Flathead F310 I bought later on from SelfEdge (kinda splurged at the time, was to make me feel better about having to cancel a massive holiday to Japan around the day of the Tsunami). The SDA however haven't really been worn over the the past 5 months because I want to reinforce the crotch before it gets worse.

Otherwise I occasionally wear a pair of Edwin 47 rainbow selvedge for a slimmer fit, which I bought from Cultizm a couple of years ago now.

    As per Joe's request for final pics of the Nudies, here are my final fit pics;

    And final jeans pics...
    Please excuse the non-ideal lighting, I took these after work today, and the sun was blasting thorough at an angle so there is a lot of shadowing;
