Why do the crotch rips on nudies? I have like 7 pairs of TR and it never happens to me
The fibers on dry denim are much stiffer and therefore beat the crap out of each other significantly more when you walk. TR, and other prewashed jeans have much softer fibers because theyve been washed and therefore dont rip. Also you do end up wearing nudies and other dry jeans far more than you would a pair of TRs. So what you have is rough denim that is prone to ripping due to its stiffness, and an abnormal amount of wear. Crotch rips become an inevitability. Other things like sagging your jeans to make them rip more. My SJDBT's looked like they had been held of in front of a firing squad at one point. I've read that if you wore TR's half as you wore nudies theyd fall to rags but that could have been a nudie fanboy.
Thx and that explains alot. And I wear vintage TRJ and I wear them for 3 to 5 months at a time before wash and they seem to hold up. And after you wash nudie jeans do they soften up?
Those TR's are probably pre-wash right? it's really about if they've been washed before leaving the factory, if, like most (popular) Nudies, they haven't, they're raw denim and are much stiffer and more prone to crotch rips. Nudies do soften up and become more comfortable after a wash though, like most raw denim.
Yea there pre wased. And now I understand what your talking about thanks guys
