Does anyone like putting a tobacco tin or w/e to make that ring on any of your pockets?

    ii have a question.
i've had my zippo in my coin pocket for at least 3months, and i use it all the time, it's not just a vanity look thing.
i'm just really curious how you guys manage to get a intense fade from a COIN, or something in your coin pocket... it just seems impossible to actually get that crazy of a contrast without cheating.

because from my experience, my zippo gives a mild fade, which is getting nicer as the days go by.

nothing is impossible in the denim world, the coin fade is caused by a bunch of coins stacked together, and usually the denim needs to be tight to achieve the abrasion. same as wallet fade, the thicker the wallet, the faster it fades. just put your receipts in your wallet and voila! hahaha

I have a small piece of shell that my girlfriend gave me on the beach. It doesn't cause any fading but I love to keep it there.

I keep coins in my back left pocket, which turns out pretty cool because they roll around and create an overall fade of the bottom of that pocket. In my right back is my wallet. My coin pocket had a chapstick, whoch made a nice light fade and a small hole at the top. I recently swapped that out for burts bees wax circular chapstic, so that looks cool as well.

I have a pocket knife in my front right pocket and my wallet in my back right. Sometimes just random objects that don't spend more than a day in my pockets

I keep a small swiss-army knife in my coin pocket. I did this even before I got into dry denim, and now it leaves a pretty cool fade.

The knife itself is white, and is slowly turning blue!
