For those of you that have a dry Connie jacket, can you give me an idea of how they're sized? I'm planning on getting one soon, and want it to be a bit more "fitted" than my old Levis jacket.

Are the connies sized SMall, Med, Large, etc?

The more details you can offer the better...I'd love you for it! :) Measurements from armpit to armpit, top button to bottom, sleeve length, etc.

    Many many thanks!

I'm considering one too, but... I dunno. Will I look stupid wearing a denim jacket? Heh.

Here are some measurements for a Large, although these aren't my own so take them with a grain of salt: armpit-to-armpit is 21? from the top of the collar to the bottom is 26?, and from armpit to cuff is 22?

This is exactly what I was looking for. I think with the inevitable shrinkage from a dry denim, I'll go with this.

Stupid wearing a denim jacket? Here in Minnesota, it's almost a uniform after labor day... :p

    MANY THANKS minja.

    Glad to have helped :)

Hehe, I've never been a denim jacket kind of guy but I think the Nudie one is different enough that I should give it a try. And it looks like a Large will fit me perfectly!

Cool, that makes me more comfortable. I'm 6' so I bet a large will fit me spot on.

    Is yours dry or prewashed?

Good to know, for sure. I'm 5'9", and the 21" pit-to-pit measurement sounds just about perfect.

Yeah, is your jacket dry? How was the breaking-in process?

Hm. You might be right. I think I'll hang tight til I get some official word re: shrinkage. You all have been mighty helpful, though! Thanks!

    can a jacket be shrunk-to-fit?

as in wearing the jacket and soaking in a tub and letting it shrink on you?

ARGH! Stupid eSnipe had the wrong eBay password so I didn't get a chance to win the jacket on eBay! Anyone know where else I might get a dry Conny jacket? :(

I wore my Dry Conny jacket about 6 month before I washed it but I'm sure it would take much longer before it would be broken in same as my RR Dry Selv.
It fits rather small, I wear a large and it fits like Medium..pretty tight fit.
I think its a killer jacket, best denim on the market except the rare japanese Lee (1930s~50s) replicas...the front pocket design isn't that clever but the back is the coolest of all jackets

i just got my conny in medium from fos5, and heres the email i sent them:

got the jacket, 4 days from hawaii to maryland during this holiday time. the jacket is nice. at first i was worried that MAYBE i should have gotten a large, but:

    1. i had to remember that it kinda is supposed to be a tighter fit, and that jean jackets back in the day used to fit like that, they werent as loose as current models; and that i indeed wanted a jacket that was a closer fit without some thick sweatshirt under it. i already have larger jean jackets to accomodate that. and:

    2. just like my regular ralph drys, if they somewhat fit you initially, the denim will loosen and stretch at bit where it needs to, as you wear them. it feels like its done that in the 1 day that ive worn the jacket so far. i think im going to post this on mynudie.com too, for others reference in regards to the conny.

    thanks again,

    j
