Soaking would be just to remove the worst smell, it wont remove any dirt.
Not much fading going on for 10months. Maybe it is the lighting?

Patch the hole and wash them. I think that there is not much fading because it's in the nature of the revival indigo. I also have the Revival Dry Flare Glenn and don't think that they will fade much. Nevertheless it will be one of the nicest indigo colors after the wash, you will see.

That is a little disapointing. They didn't have a lot of fading pre-wash,
I guess anyone would want more after ten months. How often did you
    Wear them?

There is no worse or better dry. Only hard ones and easy ones. A Greycast and Selvage everyone can break in. A revival dry is the new masterpiece, hrhr.
Remember the Veggie RR? For me it was the most beautiful Nudie indigo color but pretty hard to break in. But I saw people that did it, and that were beautiful worn in jeans.

well, to me, the color looks pretty similar to a pair of jims i bleached and ruined due to a blood stain.. and that´s no good at all...

The Revival Dry can't look like this, because it comes with these natural, vertical veggies stripes. If you wear them long enough they can look like this:

Of course a matter of taste but I love these kind of indigos.
