Is anyone familiar with Big E Jeans? I didn't know about this brand until today. I just purchased a pair of a model called "Elvis" and think they are the best pair of jeans I have ever seen. They are 14 oz of finest raw denim. The color is a classic dark indigo, it's a slim fitting, red selvedge pair with a ton of great details like a thread riveting crotch seam, a hidden crotch rivet, very heavily corded buttonholes, taped pocket edge for extra durability, hidden rivets on the back pockets, front pockets of heavy sail cloth, extra folded belt loops for extra durability, etc. The construction is top notch. I got the feeling that they will last forever. I think it's way better than a Samurai or Naked & Famous, not to mention Nudie at all (In fact it made me realize (once more) how shitty Nudies are constructed). Another cool thing is, that they produce their denim on original shuttle looms, all threads are sourced from an original US cotton thread supplier dating back to the 1900's. Big E jeans are only produced on Union Special and vintage Japanese sewing machines, produced in the company's own factory. The whole production process is done individually, by hand. The feel of the denim is fantastic and the fit is just great. The best thing is, I found a brand new crispy pair at TK Maxx for just 39.00 € (!!). Retail is 138.00 €, which I find still cheap for such excellent crafted jeans. If anyone of you guys got a pair I would love to know how the fit is once they're broken in and how the fading is. If you are the lucky owner of a well worn in pair, please post some pics of it. I appreciate any first hand info on this brand which I can highly recommend thus far.
