    Hurrah for Big Bengt!

    Hello folks

I was more than happy when I ran into a pair of BBs at JC in Helsinki. When I read the tag that said 'Loose, tapered' (or something to that effect), I knew I had a winner. I'm 191,5 cm tall and by no means fat, however, I have large (read: muscular) thigs (60 cm girth) and fairly wide hips. Jeans that say 'slim' or 'thin' I just cannot fit into. If I do, the waist is way too big. So, BB was just what the doctor ordered - a comfortable fit without flapping pants' legs or unnecessary bagginess. And a buttonfly to boot! I bought both colours on the spot. At the moment, I don't see why I'd by any other jeans - ever. The only gripe I have is that the front pockets could be a bit deeper. Oh, an my size is 33/34. Those I can wear without a belt.

    Cheers

what he said, plus, what size of shoes do you wear?

the problem I usually encounter with tapered jeans is that they make my feet look like aircraft carriers (I have a US size 12)
now judging from your height, you can't have little feet, or am I wrong?

Stoked? That's correct.:-o The first jeans in years I've really been happy with... Now what I need to do is to unload multiple pairs of jeans I won't be using anymore. No fit pics in the near future, I'm afraid. No camera to hook up with the ole computer, you see.

My shoe size is US12+ish, EUR46-47ish. I try to use minimal(ist) shoes like Nike Capri (got three pairs of those, all black and black/white), Vans Authentic (all black) and Vans Vulcanized (all black). They don't look like canoes, especially if you keep the laces loose enough. In short, the proportions look right, or whatever. If your legs are thin as sticks and you're wearing pointy thin soled shoes, it does tend to look weird.

But then tapered jeans go well with slim or narrow shoes.

I tried my big bengts with various shoes, I liked em mostly with low low profile shoes..like converse lows and etc. The leg opening is decent..but any big sneaker like a Nike Air force 1 or anything a bit big (I wear size 11.5 and 12 shoes) the taper doesnt quite nicely go over...

I tried it with some high/mid top sneakers...not a very good look I'm afraid..

What is the consensus for sizing down?
size down two instead of one from your waist size?

its been discussed many times. Yeah sizing down 2 on BB is legit as they are vanity sized........

andi1, just get the same size or 1 size down from your AJHD size.

The AJHD and BBHD fit the same, whereas the Labs are about half a size baggier so sizing down 1 from your AJHD size might make it feel snug and tight at first.
