i just leave em in pile on the floor. my philosophy is just do whatever you normally would do with any other pair of jeans. the marks that happen because of it is all part of the process

If you're paranoid about jeans and storing then here's what I've noticed....I work at Underground in Canada. You guys will hate me. But yes we sell Diesel, True religion, G star, etc..

Anyways, I find that storing prewashed virtually doesn't matter due to the starch bonds already long gone. But for RAW...

During your initial break in you're going to want to preferably not fold em , after long storage some creasing may occur or unwanted folding (from my experience). I bought two pairs of raw jeans, I stored away my sugarcanes and a year later when I broke em out, they sorta did have a fold line and to this day you can sorta see a line there due to me breaking em in and having abraision on the fold.

So just get a pant hanger, clip it onto the belt/waist part of the jean and let em hang or lay to rest if you're paranoid - but in the end...they are just jeans and you should just rock em how you live life! It'll add character to your jeans :)

Doesn't really make any difference mate. I guess if you hang them you can possibly air them at the same time. But thats about it.
