mynudies is imo such a nice forum. But we have only few users, who post every day. Would be nice to see a lot of new members around here!!! If you have got the same opinion, keep this thread bumped, that all guests are able to see it :)

we have tons of information about nudie and other raw denim!!!

Thing is, lots of guests use this forum to get info. and browse pics - but we need more members and more contribution to keep things vibrant and fresh.

I encourage more folks who're already using this forum to post their own opinions, pictures, news, whatever!
We're probably the most user friendly dry denim forum out there - not too much hype-beasting (unlike SF), not too much newbie-bashing/neg. repping (unlike SuFu), very personal/relaxed and we have a strong group of old-time, core posters...not to mention an admin who actually interacts with and listens to members.

Yes, we do actually have a lot of visitors. It would be great if we can turn those visitors into members. If anyone has ideas how to make that happen please let me know. :)

Thank you to all members who make this forum so great! Mahalo!

I've been visiting her for last week or so ever since I purchased my first pair of nudies. Thought I'd join the community.

Why don't the mods and admin organize some sort of weekly/monthly Members only Raffles/Giveaways where registered and active members can buy a ticket for a small sum, and all the money goes to buying prizes (denim, leathers or something related to our addiction :)). Maybe we could have 1st 2nd and 3rd prizes..after all the prices for the ticket will be small or big which depends on the planned prizes..so no one will be offended and the prize winner should be selected randomly using some sort or online number generator e.g. http://www.random.org/, also no profit will be taken by anyone . It would add some excitement and definitely lure in new members..who dont like prizes :). Just a thought.

I like the idea of giving prizes. Iron heart offers the same on their forum, when they reach 1000 members. And I love the arguments that are pulled here. I was a reader for two years before I joined to post my questions on jap denim. And now I'm hooked :)

Very well said! Most other forums (SuFu being a great example) are really hostile towards new members, but I can't remember a single time where I was insulted like that here.

Would definitely be great to have some more members!

True, although I think you can't force people to join a forum. Most people on the internet are searching for information, instead of sharing it. So I can see why lot of guests don't join as in becoming an active member of an online community.

Besides all the bullshitting threads, how often does someone reply to a topic here anyway? In some cases, when all information is gathered in one topic, it isn't really necessary to contribute to it, topics here serve the sole purpose of archiving information for anyone to read back when they need so.

Not to bash on MyNudies or any other online community, but the topics about certain jean brands or other static information (the sharing of facts: like cut, size info, denim company history) is as it is, this is in my opinion one of the reasons why new members don't join or discuss, other than asking: "Does this fit look good?".

I think when the forums become more interactive, more people will join. MyNudies needs to be a community, not only an archive in which you can find a lot of information.

Dynamic content should be the keyword here. Because that's what starts discussion.

I lurked for a long time before I actually joined the forum, but that's what I do on pretty much any online community. I much prefer the atmosphere on this forum to others I've read like Superfuture - seems like there are a lot of jerks on there.

    Bump.

Great, great forum - with (mostly) friendly posters. Of course, you need the occasional pariah, to shake things up.
