Hey. I've got a question on sizing. Dont be mad .......

Height: 5'10" Build: Average, muscular, a bit chubbz on the stomach.

I work out a lot and have built quite a bit of mass on the thighs from too many squats.. I'm currently wearing Nudies Grim Tim Black Selvedge with a 34w. They've stretched a bit. I was wondering, with that fit, I wanted to get something like the APC NS, but not sure on the sizing. Should I go down to a 32w or 33w? I'm afraid if I go to a 32w, I won't be able to close the buttons. With the skulls that I'm selling right now, the 33w, I wasn't able to button the top 2 and was quite certain I would never be able to.

    Any thoughts?

    Wow those look great SR!!!

Pyro, a size 33 would work well for you. Don't forget that apc's are vanity sized (size 33 = 35" waist). apc jeans are also know to stretch considerably. Good luck!

Just wondering, how does New Standard differ from Old Standard (or just 'Standard')? Thanks.

Just to let people know do not size down 3 if you are of a muscular build below the waist. I would suggest 2 if you have muscular legs and only 3 if you have small/skinnylegs

I just bought a new standard in the Apc shop in Stockholm this week. Very helpful, nice people overthere. Sized down to a 28 where i'm in Nudies have 30/31.

Also was invited to a party at the local Nudieshop because they were two years open, free drinks and hotdogs haha...

nothing wrong with free drinks and food. I thought hot dogs were just an american thing though, huh.

Will definitely size down at least 2. That seems to be the popular opinion with these for a great fade. Don't know If I could handle 3 down

size down at least 2 if you want a slimmer silhouette go down three and skinny go down four. i got mine at need last summer sized down two and was pretty unhappy with it after it stretched out. then i gained a little wait.....bleh.... but the apcs fit better.

I'm thinking of getting a pair of NS. I'm a true 34 waist so i'm thinking of getting a 31 tagged waist.
Did you guys experience any stretching from the knee downward?
I want a leg opening of around 8'' as all my other jeans are like this roughly. Size guide on Oi Polloi says 28-32 waist has a cuff of 8'' which is great but hopefully it wont change much with wear.
Also what is the fading like on these? I heard they fade much faster than Nudies.

@Johnni: Sizing should be fine. Buttoning the first will be painful at first though :)

I didn't experience any stretching from the knee downward. What is definitely true is that APCs fade damn faster than Nudies but it's really great denim!!!

thx! I'm going down to London this week and might visit the APC store to try them on anyway to get the size right but as they stretch loads you never know what they will turn out right till a month or so down the line.
However if i want a more relaxed fit in the wiast/thigh i.e Average Joe should i go with a 32 rather than a 31 waist maybe?
