Selfridges!!!!! What a bargain. Think I am going to take them back though....
And the half stitch at the back pocket and the metal stuff on the belt loop.
i know nothing about the dior, but i assume the denim would be somewhat different, surely? even though the cut is the same, i'm sure the actual garments behave differently- compare and contrast the grim tim in ddo and selvage... or the jims in bt and japan?
sorry bout the double post, but this just came through- sell em on ebay instead, you might be able to run a profit ;-)
Agree with davety. I have seen pairs of NS wihh 1 month's wear go for £75. Selfridges must be struggling a bit if they are reducing such a consistent wardrobe staple by this kind of margin. Then agian, their £110 price tag was a bit ridiculous when it's really not that hard to get them for under £100. Damn my broken arm. I'd be in there if I could drive. Then again, I'd probably fall over in the changing room.
Davety - you may be right. I would take £69 to be I guess that is still cheaper than what they retail at..
^ or you could just hold on to them until you lose that weight you were talking about. you shouldn't sell right now anyway, hold onto them for a few months until the sales die down a bit, and you might have a prime market waiting- and if you're a little less tubby by then, you could always just keep 'em. waiting is a win-win- a.p.c, especially mint, should hold its value pretty well- just don't stretch them out just yet!
^^ that's what I'm doing, holding on to quite a few pairs of unworn denim, hopefully I'll be able to lose some of my flab soon
^ i've got a few pairs that i snapped up for bargain prices, trying to keep them in near new condition. it's tempting to start in on them in lieu of something new and exciting, but they really are rainy-day stuff- i don't particularly want to sell them, but i would hope that by holding on to them and looking after them, i'd be able to at least recoup costs if i needed to offload them. plus, it's a heartening thought to know you have a couple of pairs of dry sitting in storage waiting to be busted out
I got my NS today. I could easily button the waist and contrary to what context says, when I measure the thigh BIG style it measures 11". It is a size 28 and the fit right now is about what I would want when it is totally stretched. What size should I go to?
The only thing that worries me with the smaller sizes is the leg opening, but I guess I can get over that.
26 I reckon, providing of course leg opening is ok
maybe you should get sz 26
for apc NS you're supposed to size down from your true waist by 3 and for NC by 2. is that right?
That's what I was thinking. I just sent context an email to start the return process. I'll report back when the new pair come.
size down at least one if the fit you have now is what you ultimately want, because they will stretch out a whole bunch, and don't ever trust context's measurements- have a look at oipolloi, because they have completely different measurements for the whole apc range. it can be difficult to get anything less than a 28 though.
only place online ive found with 26 NS's is the denim bar
I just looked at oipolloi's measurements and they do seem more accurate. To bad they stop at size 28 though. Context has 26 in stock at the moment.
^ go for it. not an easy mission you've set for yourself, finding a sz26, but context is probably your best bet- or maybe tobi. in a pinch you could try the apc website (apc.fr), but be prepared to pay elephant dollars.
Context confirmed receiving my return and they said they will have my size 26 sent out on monday. It probably won't be here until thursday/friday, but I will let you all know how it goes. I am kind of worried about the sizing, but I guess the worst case scenario is just send them back again and get the 27 if they are to small.
Picked up a pair of NS this week. Had alot of smaller sizes. http://www.shopdetour.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=SFNT&Store_Code=DCS
