my samurais (s710, lot 10, stretched easily back to their tagged size (34), even after the hot washes (60°C) while my true waist is little over 33". of course it´s different denim, but whatever.

and also here´s my final advice () what i did with my denimes:
-1st soak in hot water, waistband outside of the water. wait till the water cools down to a bearable temperature (around 30°C, put the jeans on and jump in the tub for 15 minutes)
-2nd soak: after seeing the waist would work out i did a second soak in 40°C hot water to get more starch out of the denim. worked out perfectly. just gonna wash these by hand in warm (not hot) water, so i´m sure i won´t have any struggle with the waist.
Thanks a lot! I might actually try that.
Then the denim in the S0500 could be the tightest and the hardest tensioned of them all. I wonder how that effects the stretching.

do it and than we judge.
and I repeat myself again. These do stretch 3" so if the waistband is your only concern, then there isn't really a problem

if you size down, these can be slim. just look through the thread and you will see enough pics

and @ Stefan: no offense but let the Samurai expert (Atzec) give advises
really no offense but you proved with your lot confusion that you have something to learn

nevertheless, the soaking-tipps are perfect

oh and what comes to my mind: Samurai tend to shrink with the first few washes, just like LVC.
therefore listen more to Atzec because he has kowledge about it. I only can tell you that you won't have a problem to stretch the waistband now after the soak but I dunno ow these will evolve in the long run

I only gave soaking advises. And also no offense, but what kind of lot confusion do I've started? I've asked if it's this jean:

I'm always willing to learn if you've got something to teach.
