in no way are redwings too hot for an australian summer- if you can wear any shoes at all, you can wear redwings. i guess folks must be addicted to birkenstocks in the northern summer- or have never worn a pair of workboots before coming to redwing- but i see absolutely no problem with workboots in the summertime here, and i've worn them on building sites in 45 degree subtropical humidity. i'd say it's far less feasible to wear denim in the summer here than redwings, and again, the redwings aren't all that hardcore of a workboot in the greater scheme of things- in fact they're probably right at the prissier end of the spectrum.

so aquadynamic- don't worry about them being too hot, you'll get lots of wear out of them, mate- and just so no-one thinks i'm ripping on rw unfairly, they're some of the best boots you'll ever see, but they're definitely not so heavy that they're wintertime-only footwear.

+ i'd wager on the dollar being even better by next winter, but i'm still spending up now just in case

^ I guess I would wear em on a situational basis and see how they fair...im generally a fan of easy-on/off canvas in the hot summer days.
Haha ive never been much of a gambler, I'll take 92 us cents and cash out... tho i do hope the trend continues.
