guys, if you hate the roomy thighs, try to stay away from faithfull repro '47s. here's some comparative post-wash measurements from my '47 based jeans:

SC 40400N: W32x34 :: w= 33, ins= 33, f/r= 11.5, b/r= 15, u/t= 12.5, knee= 9.5 , l/o= 9
SC '47: W32x34 :: w= 32.5, ins= 33, f/r= 11.5, b/r= 15.5, u/t= 12, knee= 9.5, l/0= 9
WH 1001: W33x34 :: w= 33, ins= 32.5, f/r= 11.5 . b/r= 15, u/t= 12.25 , knee= 9.5, l/o= 9
SD 101: W34x34 :: w= 34, ins= 32.5 , f/r= 11. b/r= 15, u/t= 12.75, knee= 9.5, l/o= 9

BiG would measure direct at the crotch.
Did you look on the measurements on BiG or Selfedge before you bought? The measurements there match with yours.
You could ask Gordon or Kiya what shrinking you could expect

I've done it. Soaked in the machine at 40 degrees...and they look a lot smaller

sounds good! I must admit I thought they wouldn't shrink that much because the inseam also shrinks just 1-1.5" after soak. As long as I read it correctly

where do you've read that? They shrink to their tagged size...

yeah. 35" raw (as stated on BiG) - 34" tagged equals 1"

On the sugar canes homepage they announce 0.5 (!) inches waist- and 3 inches inseam shrinking. The inseam on my 47's looses approx. 10cm, the thigh looses 2 cm. But the waist is nearly the same like before...

make sure to post complete measurements when fully dry!

Ha, no, they're still totally wet. I hope I can do a fit pic tomorrow, but they look really different now sizewise. I guess you're right that a 'machine soak' shrinks the shit out of jeans.
