i guess im a semi official member of the crotch rip club. i realized about a few weeks ago that a small area right by the ends of a whisker on my sjdj became bigger by about a few millimeters and the denim is gettin real flimsy down there. i really dont know what to do. i heard that some people got a repair kit from nudie but i dont know is it free? any other suggestions

Is there anything you can do to avoid this? Maybe reinforce them before you start wearing them, even? It seems like it happens to pretty much every pair eventually, and a lot sooner than I'd like.

^try warm/cold soaking the crotch area periodically. water tempers the yarn and make the denim stronger, as well as improves the tensile strenght of the cotton thread [stitiching]... plus, applying a little agitation while soaking losens dirt and bacteria that causes putrifaction

for the OCD afflicted: [invisible] preventive reinforcement is part of the routine prep

edit: i should say just thread in general.

My Average Joes ripped at about the 8 month mark...
I felt like my newborn baby just got diagnosed with cancer or something...
