View Full Version : key hooks for belt loop...

17th April 2009, 23:28
hey guys, was wondering if anyone could help me find a key hook for a belt loop. kind of like the flat head 's' hook at self edge:

but what i would really like is something like this only just the brass hook (i would buy this for the hook alone but they're sold out!)

thanks guys! any help would really be appreciated as i really want something much nicer than a caribiner or anything on a chain.

If you can find a shop like this one https://www.boatbrass.com/products/index.php
in your area they could probably get it for you or the might stock something similar.

I am amazed at how expensive the Flat Head key hook is. Seriously, can't you just buy something cheap and use the other $120 for something more important?

yeaa maybe the price was cause by the brand name itself

Hey - boatbrass.com guy here. Alot of specialty stainless steel items like the hook in question is really stinkin' expensive. Some brass items are as well, but brass is generally less expensive than stainless. I've got a bit of a hardware fetish so am always keeping my eyes open for cool affordable hooks, clasps, block & tackle pulleys, etc. When I find a close out item that I can buy below wholesale and in bulk, I'm on it. Its a sailing thing - finding a piece of hardware that clips onto something quick, holds tight and will support a thousand pounds of pressure is just cool. :)
