i just grabbed myself a pair.

i can already tell these are gonna be a bitch to break in.

roirio
12th April 2009, 08:53
get true size. cause they shrink alot after 1-2 wash(es).
kinda hard to break cause they aren't stiff at all.

grayfox

hoo very nice DC mate!
how about the shrinkage?
0,1inch or more?

roirio
13th April 2009, 19:32
hmm. a bit more i guess. check out these pics above, this maybe the best way to show the shrinkage on the Dry comforts.

before wash (hmm about 6months maybe)
http://mynudies.com/gallery/files/4/2/6/0/Resizeofsidebackfrontview.jpg
(see how loose the thigh area is)

post wash (after a year maybe, about 2 washes i guess)

@catchusforthefoxes :
hm.. its like a day or two after wash as i remembered. kinda forgot, my bad :D

@symphony :
yeah i know. actually when i bought it, it fits me like regular TF, and then after 7 months it stretched into a Even Steven (:D) and then shrink into something like a TLJ. but they stretch again a bit after 5x of wear.

ng_tetet

i want the jeans so bad, only if they come in 27/32 or 26/32

iwannudies
17th April 2009, 16:44
What ng said, seriously, that is one perfect fit. Why are you even thinking about exchanging them?!?

adam
17th April 2009, 16:49
im going to keep them now, i was worried the 31waist would stretch too much after a while

im liking them now tho :)

ng_tetet
17th April 2009, 16:53
do you have any idea how the jeans turn to be before and after the wash?
see roirio's and you will got the idea.
now they are just perfect, and after a wash, they will become a lot tighter (which is good).

adam
17th April 2009, 16:56
cheers for the advice

the reason i chose the comfort ones is because im going to spain and dubai again this year and wanted some lighter denim compared to my ssds

ng - tfdoee is thin finn dry organic ecru embro, it's pretty much just white stitching on the back.

and to adam - they're gonna stretch a loooooot. mine have already stretched a lot more than i expected and i hope they don't stretch anymore.

Kinda wish I'd sized down one more, the thighs are getting huuuuuuuge.
They're a bitch to fade so far (wallet fades coming in) but they're really really comfortable.
If anyones looking for a pair of finns, i'd say pick up a pair of comforts.

looks good adam.
got a pair on order from Greece (ninebelow.gr) Size30 - nudies in Dry denim fit a pretty snug 30 on me so i'm hoping these should be right - cause i almost couldn't get them anywhere in AUS anymore and they were only 73euros (+29euro for postage) so $185AUS for a pair of Nudie's is pretty amazing i say!! hope they look as good as these.

currently got a newish pair of TFDS but loved my old pair of LongJohns with the indigo pocket stitch and want it back so hopefully these will be the ones! From what people have said the TFDC are more "comfortable" (as the name suggests) compared to the TFDS, and i'm hoping they are cause so far i haven't enjoyed the feel of the TFDS (although i think they get better with each wear.)

Can't wait till mine arriveeee!!!

Yea Apartment still has a whole stack of them in there even after their 20% off sale.

I got myself a pair of tfdc there about 7 months ago for $215 :-). Not sure why mine were cheaper.

Yea i know, they cost $250 AUD now!

There really isn't too much in there to interest me anymore. The shoe shelf is near empty (they're just going to let their nike contract expire) and I really can't afford Headporter + tees for $160 or the headporter backpacks with a tag of nearly a grand.

The only thing that might motivate me to go and see them much more is if they get apc jeans in at the end of the year like they promised. otherwise...

yep they are stopping the nike and focusing on vans and... i think one other that i forget. hold off from washing as long as possible or, if fortune does not smile upon you, till they start sporting an unbearable smell. It would really be interesting to see how those combs turn out, at the moment they look like they have big potential.

luda
2nd June 2009, 18:05
I totally agree. I knew these would be harder to break in than dry stretches but didn't there'd be so much difference.

Just from looking at some of the other jeans here mine definitely don't look like they need a wash yet. Second opinion is always good though. Not a big deal though, I was probably going to wear them through to at least the end sept since my cousin is going to be getting married in hong kong then. Hoping to pick up some skulls from take5 while i'm over there which im really looking forward to doing.

Had mine for only a short time now. I'd normally be a 30 and this is what size i got cause i couldn't find them any smaller anywhere. After a few wears the waist has loosened a little, and otherwise haven't stetched too much, but expecting them to stretch loads around the thigh area as time goes on - hopefully not too much.

Loving them so far. Waaay more than my other pair of TFDS. Look great on and the indigo thread is the best!

TFDC 29x34 on the left (2.5 months, no washes)
TFDS 30x34 on the right (around 7-8 months, 2 washes)
I've retired the TFDS because they're a too tight which is kind of weird seeing as the TFDC are a smaller size.

the shrinkage is still pretty noticable in the second pic, especially in the thigh area, despite how crappy the pic is

theyre certain to shrink even more though if you gave them a hot wash, just wear them until the fit starts annoying you again haha
kinda worried about the shrinkage i'm going to get after i hot wash mine, as they only seem to be a little looser than roirio's pair post wash :-?

also woody, you might know this already but apartment is having a sale with up to 50% off for all this week (until sunday), there's not much info online about exactly what's been marked down and by how much but I'm almost certain the apc x nike sneakers you wanted would have a nice discount.

If you happen to go check it out you should suss out what the markdowns are like on the apc l-s buttonups theyve got and let me know, since i won't be back in bris until friday arvie :-D
Hopefully if there's something worth buying it won't all be gone by saturday

ah shvt i just went in today and hadnt read that!!! BUT i did have a look at one i liked, and it was 250 down to 200. still pretty expensive

luda
22nd July 2009, 15:10
yea thats still pretty steep. can probably get them online for better than that at full retail
only thing thats really spurring me to go check them out at apartment is that they stock them in XS which is what i need for a really slim fitted look, whereas most online stores only stock down to S.

woody
22nd July 2009, 15:14
oh i didnt check sizing... the one i looked at was S and it was the first in the row... if you get what i mean

luda
22nd July 2009, 15:21
yea i get ya. i do know they did have xs's so if there's a nice one left with a big discount i'll grab it.

also have been contemplating getting a pair of new cures from need supply with the 15% discount real soon, so it looks like the wash for my finns might be pushed up a couple of months.

^Thanks neonlights

I'm thinking about sizing down to 31 waist. I remember getting my first Nudies in 32 (Slim Jim Original Blue) and the waist was super tight! It took a while for it stretch (I think it stretched about 2"), but now it's comfortable. How much does the waist stretch on the Comforts?

negative
7th August 2009, 02:08
Hm, these are pretty tight. It's hard to tell with this picture but with the frontal view... whoa! I'll snap better pictures later. Do these stretch much in the calf area?

woody

I see a noticable amount of slack in the calf area, what the hell did you expect with skinny jeans? thats looser then most pairs are after stretching.

LUda - so rad man they look really good

@ negative - dude those have to be one of the loosest looking pair of Finns I have ever seen - you must be used to like Average Joe Or Easy Emil cuts huh??
I wouldnt expect that your gonna get much stretching out of those in the leg dude - theyre hardly even snug anywhere

It WAS really tight--that angle for some reason made it look loose. It has stretched a bit and doesn't look like I'm wearing a leotard anymore.

What do you keep in your right pocket? Big difference in fades between right and left front pockets.
When do you plan to wash them?

Got them about 1.5 years ago, however there are only about 5-6 months of wear. 2 washes and one soak. I lost a lot of weight so i did a premature wash to shrink them down a bit (stupid i know).

What do you think about the fit? They fit really loose in the waist due to the weight loss. These are 32's by the way. My true size is 30/31.

My Dry Comforts are coming close to having a crotch blowout, so I'm looking for a replacement pair. HOWEVER, have the Dry Comforts become somewhat of a rarity??? Aside from the official Nudie online store with limited sizes, it's so hard to track down an online store with them in stock anymore!!!

And btw, I am also thinking about go TTS (30/34) this time around (bought 29/34 first time)...I'm not gonna mind a little bit of room anymore.

Freidrich

It's my first pair of Nudies, so I'm still trying to find what the best way to wash them is. Any suggestions?

I wear them for school and on the weekends, so basically everyday give or take. It's 29x32. Got them last year during a sale at ATTIC's online shop.

That's what I was thinking...I think I did something wrong haha... was I suppose to soak them once in awhile?

40°C, no detergent, inside out should do it...

soaking once in a while is better for the denim+threads but the best thing you could do is to wear them harder!

Im wearing 30 32 TFUIC currently and im interested in getting a pair of TFDC, what size do you suggest?

to add on, Ive previously bought a 29 32 Thin Finn Organic Ecru Embo and i cant even button so i just sold it and get a pair of 30 32.

Greglow99
26th December 2010, 18:03
TFUIC runs bigger than other no coated TF about 1/2-1".
So a 30" TFDC or TFOEE will be smaller than a 30" TFUIC.
