Denna Big Bengt är i en kaihara 13,5oz kvalitet. I detta utförande kommer det att kosta 1799:-

I posted the link on the AJ's just because to show the denim they're using on big bengt.
reGuar > "våren 2009" = Spring 2009?
Oopps, I was so friggin tired when I posted this.
I think the fit is kinda like the even steven, but the top is like... loose frank.

The linked pics is NOT lab joes. It's joe dry selvage with a few personal modifications (worn 6 month and washed in 60 degrees celsius).
Big Bengt is great, i have seen it. It's a classic carott-fit. A bit narrower that even steven down at the foot and a bit higher waist. (Think 90s 501 or Acne's cut Generic Boy ) I would wear it down on the hips like a baggy fit and pinch roll it.

Thats just the Lab Big Bengt. The "dry heavy" and the two other washes I have seen are going to be regular Nudie prizes (correct me if i am wrong here, eric.). Keep your eye out for the "used seagreen" wash. It's amazing.

if you had to pronounce it similarly to how it is here in Scandinavia, it would have to be pronounced Big Bent, just fyi. The G is silent.

13th August 2008, 23:05
i stand corrected...looked so similar to lab joe...wtf two buttons at the waist band.
Yeah. No worries. They are a bit tricky :-D
You see I found a pair of really nice Lee-suspenders so I just had to hammer in some buttons to attach them in... and I like the look of it. Accually the next lab-series is going to have a chino style pant with suspender buttons, really cool (and i guess amazingly expensive). The trained Nudie-eye could also spot the lack of patch in the back and some removed seams in the fly. I like it better that way.

Yeah, with Nudie among other brands. I work in one of the bigger department stores in stockholm so there are a whole bunch of brand, but I mostly work with Nudie and a swedish brand Pace. I also see to it that, when I am off work, I visit the Nudie store to get the latest news as often as I can. They are a wonderful bunch of people the Nudie crew.

I think basically a carrot fit implies going from a wider top/waist into a very narrow leg as opposed to something baggy or narrow all the way through. Pretty self explanatory imo.

looking at its backyoke (on zoovillage), i can say its not a steven top. my guess would be a joe or a sven top, with a bottom that cannot be compared to other nudie styles.

They definately do NOT look like a baggy jean!
I'd love do have a fit like the Baggy Björn just with a slimmer leg-opening. Not tapered down the knee, just the leg opening smaller than on Baggy Björn. I am wearing Chucks almost always and I trample on the jean while walking out in my Baggy Björn, most of the time.

1st post yay!!
got my bbdh today and i've had them on for about 10 hrs now....my first impression is good
like someone said before different cuts are made to fit different body types
the fit is perfect for me...i have big thighs (just under 14") yes thunder thighs:-D
and usually have to size way up for a decent fit.... these fit perfect around thighs and i love the taper too.....again usually the ones that fit my thighs perfect have a huge cuff
i think the carrot fit/horse riding pants statement is only applicable if you are rocking really thin thighs....hope this helps to clear the fit up a lil bit
i bought them from selfedge a few $ more than cultizm but i like selfedge cuz they are straight up good people....this is like my 4th pair of jeans from them. they got a union special and they chainstitch your jeans for free....i think that's pretty cool:-D

Nudies are chainstitched anyway?
my bad....i should have elaborated....i bought a pair of iron hearts that i think were 37 inseam and since they are sanforized not much of a chance of shrinking (i prefer 33-34 inseam)
so i had those hemmed....since they use the union machine after washing u still get the lil rope affect.

1st post yay!!
got my bbdh today and i've had them on for about 10 hrs now....my first impression is good
like someone said before different cuts are made to fit different body types
the fit is perfect for me...i have big thighs (just under 14") yes thunder thighs:-D
and usually have to size way up for a decent fit.... these fit perfect around thighs and i love the taper too.....again usually the ones that fit my thighs perfect have a huge cuff
i think the carrot fit/horse riding pants statement is only applicable if you are rocking really thin thighs....hope this helps to clear the fit up a lil bit
i bought them from selfedge a few $ more than cultizm but i like selfedge cuz they are straight up good people....this is like my 4th pair of jeans from them. they got a union special and they chainstitch your jeans for free....i think that's pretty cool:-D
plus like the delivery took only 2 days

hey, what size are those? 8.5'' leg opening is my favorite. can you post your fit pic in those BBDH?

I just bought my pair of Big Bengt from the Sydney nudie store. Cost AUD$220 which is cheaper than Self Edge and Cultizm if you do USD - AUD conversion (as the currency exchange drop like hell this week). Fit pretty good i must say. Slightly bigger on the waist and smaller on the leg opening as compared to Slim jim.

i'd go 1 size down.....i'd have to agree with selfedge in that there will stretch upto 1.75" after like 30-40 wears
i imagine all that always depends on how snug they fit you....for me the 38 waist (which was actually 39) fit pretty snug so i managed to stretch tehm a lot quicker.
but again i'd size down since they are sanforized

First post here.
Anyhow I've been wearing a pair of new standards for the past 12 months-ish. These seem to be a really similar cut, although the thigh seems a tad smaller. I ordered a pair off of selfedge yesterday I'll take pics soon as I get them. I sized down a bit so hopefully they aren't ridiculous, but I didn't want to deal with massive stretch (don't get me started on my apcs).
Lotta hate on this cut, but it seems like it'll be perfect for me (normal sized waist with big thighs/behind).

My friend works at a denim botique..he says he got in a shipment of big bengt's...none have sold for the past month :o.
The fit is okay, but I doubt many people will want to wear circa 1950's jeans. But I actually might cop a pair if they go on sale - and use them strictly as work jeans. I think it'll be rather disguisting...within a month they'll be guaranteed to be motor oil stained and etc. The fades/washes won't neccessarily be from abrasion/wear..but from the chemical effects on the cotton + I will have to wash it probably in a big tub full of tide+ degreaser agents + some generic de-oil'er stuff I use for my overalls. Damn this could be so dope...

i went to lark(a local store that sells a bunch of nudie goods) and tried BBDH. i tried size 32 and 31, the 32 fit like my APC NS with slightly roomier thighs, the 31 fit like a carrot on my body. too bad it was the dry heavy, otherwise i woulda picked one if they were BBDS.

The dry heavy is okay, just a very stubborn denim. Takes a while to break in. Needs some patience.

as i had AJDH already and it took me a lot of effort to fade their stubborn indigo, i might be interested in something else. BB seems to be an OK fit for people with big thighs and strong legs :lol:.

How did everey size fit in the waist? And why would you go for an 31, how is that fit compared to the 29?

29 was definitely tight for me. i struggled buttoning up the last one. when i tried to sit, it was like a torture. but it definitely fit on me. i like 31 as the waist was snug and the leg opening was just the way i wanted to be. the 30 was similar to 31, but the leg opening was too narrow for my liking.
29 - looked like i was wearing long johns
30 - it felt like APC Cure on me
31 - felt like nudie GT but better ( i am really hoping they make the selvage or regular dry or whatever, but not dry heavy...)
32 - was not the best, probably like carrot.
hope that helped! :)

Compared to most other nudies, how tight are the Bengts? They sound like they might be looser, but I can't really tell. So are they nut huggers or not?
