let em stack, the stacks will settle after some wear and look less noticeable.
I sag my jeans pretty low on the hip..thus I get a shitpile of stacks as well, after some time to settle in they look good.

so I say, don't hem.

Wait and see how they will look after a few weeks of wear.

yeah i was thinking about that but i'm afraid the hemming will be harder and not look as good if it's done after i've been wearing them for awhile..

i just said that because alot of thugs wear extremely long jeans when they are short.. that's why...

update: the stacking is relaxing a little but i think that the leg opening may have stretched a little from me putting them on.. it's only been 2 days of wear. maybe i should hem them now? i mean they're not falling under my foot, but i can feel it slipping

i'd cut 1-2 inches, but leave some stacking too after cutting them. that's what i did with my GTDDO, and it's perfect now. i am comparing GTDDO with TFDBC coz they look alike with very slightly different measurements. well that's my suggestion, good luck, btw! :)

Rylan, how'd things turn out?

I'm in the same boat. I just bought a pair of 27x34 TFDBC, but I'm just under 5'7. I'm wondering whether to hem them as well. I guess 2 weeks of wear without hemming wouldn't hurt, and then go from there. <pondering>

That's a good call, man. I was considering maybe hemming, but now they're almost too short! :-D

don't hem.
stacks are dope if not in excess. these are not excess, on the threshold, but still not.
like everyone else is saying; let em settle a bit.

things are great.
i, thankfully, did not hem them and they are perfect. i really love the stacking and thanks everyone who convinced me not to hem them .

but yes, try them out.. if you like it, keep it. if not, you can always cut them off.. it would be much harder (and less attractive) to sew them back on lol

i'm 5'7' and for my thin finns (31/34) i prefer the 34 since the stacking to me helps give an awsome affect! 8-)

i recon heming looks bad unless you get it to look the same as if it wasnt hemmed

leave them the way they are.
you're probably just not used to some excess fabric at your ankles

xxsupremesxx
29th July 2008, 04:11
yeah i'm exactly the same as you, i'm 5'8, i personally don't like that much excess stacking so I say yeah hem them.

TTsmasher
29th July 2008, 16:56
Wow, you must wear them real high.. I have a 26 x 34 myself & I am about 5'10" & they're a bit long on me. But then again, I do sag super lowww. I say don't hem, they're just stiff right now, that's why the stacking is so ugly at the moment.

&I would never hem my jeans at that. To me, it just ruins the "originality" of it.

xxhalcyonxx
15th April 2009, 05:47
To hem or not to hem, that is the question.

The maximum I would go is to cuff them once. I would personally not alter the length of the jeans if I don't step on them and cause tears and all.

15th April 2009, 08:14
^ Hemming is the last thing you should do, even if they're a tad too long. You should wear them for a while, they'll get a bit shorter thru honeycombs and crinkles. On the other hand, I'm sure a 32" inseam would be better, cuz' if your jeans are too long the whole character of the cut changes. If you decide to hem, take them to a real good tailor and let him use the original hem, any other thing is awful!
