So what's the deal with these?

superslim_zac

Dayum. Very possibly my next pair...

bilmaga
15th October 2007, 03:51
I think these will be in Australia soon. I recall the nudie rep saying that.

superslim_zac
15th October 2007, 06:45
Yeah, good and bad, seeings I'll have to pay retail to get them!

Don't they look awesome tho.

acekieffer
15th October 2007, 07:07
what color thread is "ecru"?

cameland
15th October 2007, 07:21
Dark blue I suppose.

EDIT: Opps! Ecru is the natural colour of cotton, so beige.

Gregory
15th October 2007, 07:51
is the pocket detailing ecru as well?
that would look pretty cool

cameland
15th October 2007, 07:56
Yeah, I'm quite sure the pocket stitching would be ecru coloured. Hence the name ecru embo.

Embo is short for Pocket Embroidery.

ninjapie
15th October 2007, 08:08
Are all TF's 10.5oz?

Edit: came,sufu

Australia exclusive? Hrmphh..
If they are Ausclusive I'll have to fashionably dislike you for a day or two.

They do look nice. Possibly my first TFs if they'll hit the shelves in Europe.

cameland
15th October 2007, 08:26
Yeahhhh I wouldn't be suprised if they were only 10.5oz. Most stretch jeans are around 9oz, especially skinny jeans. I still don't know how they calculate the weight, if its just based on the fabric, or the fabric weight including the indigo. Since with more dippings the indigo starts to make up almost half of the gross weight.

Anyway, if they are an Aus exclusive, as always I am happy to track pairs down and ship them out to mynudies members at cost (no fee). It's just Finns are about 215AUD here and the aussie dollar is doing quite well atm.

acekieffer
15th October 2007, 16:31
hmm..i'm interested to see more pictures of these.

is the denim color more indigo or black? they look quite dark.

RxHernandez
15th October 2007, 17:50
ahh i would love some finns organic
sick shit

ninjapie
15th October 2007, 19:36
Thanks for the offer Came! Converted to euro's that's 136,-
TFs usually go for 90~100ish here! :O But, if they're AUS
only.. mmm.

Edit: sob, ok, I need these :(

cameland
15th October 2007, 19:41
heh, ninjapie. Why dont you try to track down the thread where the jeans were mentioned, that way you'll know whether or not its AUS only or not. Heres a link to the Nudie reps profile, just go through his posts till you find an answer and report back!

http://mynudies.com/forums/member.php?u=2632

cameland
15th October 2007, 19:47
Okay so I found it myself, they are apprently hitting aussie stores in Dec/Jan, didn't say anything about being AUS exclusive. So looks like your in luck.

Found the pic too, surprisingly the stitching looks white and not ecru. Hrmmm.

I guess we just gotta have to sit tight and wait.

acekieffer

those look pretty rad.

so is this denim heavier/thicker than the normal TF dry?

josuke
16th October 2007, 04:44
that embo is freaking nice.. i wish i had a smaller leg.. lol

cameland
16th October 2007, 05:02
>>>Ace
I dunno if it'll be thicker or not. With the current trend nudies got going most of their organic line is thicker and stiffer, with the exception of the SJAOD, so as soon as it comes out I'll check it out at the nudie store and tell you guys what I think of the denim.

acekieffer
16th October 2007, 06:01
right on. yeah, im curious about the denim weight.

cause thin finns with heavier denim would be dope i think.

i might have to consider these for later on..

post whatever info you get..and pictures..i want to see close up of the stitching.
and the denim color

ninjapie
16th October 2007, 14:24
His post said December/January, are his posts generally true though?
Anyways, awaiting your detailed report, Sir Cameland.

cameland
16th October 2007, 14:31
Yeah, so far hes been legit. I mean hes their rep for AUS/ASIA distro and he has no reason to lie to us.

I'll take a wander down to the store around xmas time.

superslim_zac

They should be roughly as much as an organic GT I figure.

So in aus thats about 280 :-x

I particularly like the contrasting stiching--and this seems the main thrust of interest--but the pricing seems stiff--especially for an existing style. The heavier denim may not be as comfortable, especially for those of us in warm climates. I do like 'em.

Uh nudie stitching = bright orange. I'd say these are dull in comparison.

And it's ecru, un-died cotton...so off white. Probably just the contrast of the photo.

Nothing is particularly special about these. If you don't like them, keep it to yourself?
I like the finn fit, and these aren't the same as every other finn. I like it.

TiaKo

Why are you bitching about me giving my opion? I say what i think, just as much as you say what you think..the fact that i don't like them as much as you do doesn't mean that my opinion has less value than yours. I'm not here to discuss about what is or isn't beautifull..i just thought they weren't that special and therefor wondered what people think was special about these jeans. That's all..so don't come to me with comments about keeping my opinion to myself.

superslim_zac
23rd November 2007, 14:09
I'd be willing to say that your the one bitching here, seeings I didn't really bitch about anything!

I'm saying why come into a thread dedicated to one pair of jeans in a limited run where people are talking about the jean and no-one has really seen it only to pass judgement on some poor photos. don't you have something better to do.

Yes that is bitching now.

And if you don't want such a strong response, try to avoid using words like 'horrible', and ditching on enthusiasm of people. Opinion is one thing. Conflict is something else.

superslim_zac
23rd November 2007, 14:13
If you'd like to know whats different about these jeans, read the first page.

Organic denim
10.5 Oz weight.
Ecru Stitching
Pure copper buttons

vs

regular dry finns. I'd say this are different enough to warrant some enthusiasm. Hardly ground breaking, but interesting non-the less.

Damn, it's just sad if you let your enthusiasm get ditched by one negative comment. I'm just giving my opinion, what are you talking about conflict?! Don't accuse me of things you know nothing about. I'm not bitching about anything, just giving my opion, if you can't see the difference in that..than that's your problem and you should keep THAT to yourself instead of bothering me with these useless comments.

Now start talking about this jeans again because this discussion is going nowhere.

I just bought some of these for AUS$215 to replace my old finns which I had worn into the ground

the denim feels a little bit denser than the stretch fit denim in my old finns and the girl in the shop (who seemed to know her stuff) said that they have been overdyed, which is quite noticeable, and should hopefully make for some good contrast

the main difference in terms of fit (considering these are exactly the same size and cut as my old ones) is that they stack a little differently around the knees and ankles, leaving a little more room around the ankles

oh and the light blue stitching on the pocket pops really well, pleasant change from orange

The denim is alot more like a regular finn colour than in the picture, but darker.
The copper buttons/fly is sick
The denim is nice and relatively stiff for a finn
I like it. It feels tighter in the thigh than a TFDS, but someone else can clarify that.
Back pocket stitching is like white. Really cool tho. I really like it.

/thoughts.

I am quite unsure which size to order these finns. ive never had finns on and i want them to be tight around my legs and knees but i dont want it to be in my ass.

I have a SJDBC 29x32 and it fits good, but i also have a SJDJ in the same size (29x32) and is alot baggier, i have alot more space in the waist and at my ankle.

So which size should i get? 26/27/28/29 x 32 ??

Im about 1.70cm and 114 lbs

Thanks.

english
29th January 2008, 19:42
don't think they're so much tight in the ass as they are in waist. i got mine (tfdgc) sized down 2 sizes (i wear a 31 in levi's skinny fit and got a 29 to compensate for stretching). i've worn them for about half a day and the waist (and ass actually) has already stretched. i talked to a girl who wears finns and she stressed the sizing down. she had worn hers off and on for 6 months and said they stretched out a size or so. hope that helps...

wth, people normally size down 1 from their jims to get a nice fit for their finns. if you get 26, you'll definitely crush your balls and they will also **** up your blood circulation

also i noticed something weird in your post, SJDBC should be BAGGIER than SJDJ of the same size

well it's a bit odd i must admit.. cos my TFDS are 28/32 and my TFDBC are 26/32.

Nah the ultra indigo are cool man. I think the ecru pockets and copper with organic is just cool. A nice change from my DBC finns and my japan jims.

I don't think you'd regret buying a pair of these, even if they were on the shelf a while. Just size up or down from your other finn dry comforts I reckon so they look a little different.

What size are your ultras?

deviousfool

my ultras are 26/32 and my dry stretch are 28/32.
Yeah I was thinking of sizing up to get a fit like ace's but then I decided I should take a break from nudies and try some other brands first 8-)

I'm currently looking at PBJs, Skulls and PRPS. I might get another pair in June/July but I haven't decided yet. I need to learn more about denim

Which fit are you looking at from PBJs ? Im guessing 005s ? From what I saw in another forum, the PBJ-XX007s are damn eye-catchy. The evolution is pretty dope too.

i friggin hate summer.. even when I wear 10.5 TFs, i sweat a lot which makes them kinda damp and glued to my legs.. :( that's why I'm wearing my levis sometimes.. (i'm working in a lab, so long pants is a must )

edit: iwannudies, or joe, i didn't get another nudies because..

1. cuts that fit me are limited to TLJ, SSK, TF or 27" jims, which are pretty rare (i'm a goddamn skinny dude)
2. all those cuts i mentioned are made of lightweight denim + stretch (i want better, more hardcore contrast!)
3. none of em are selvage (at least not now)
4. there are waaaaaay too many people wearing nudies in Sydney.. sometimes i wanna stand out in the crowd..

Although I guess it'd lose its vibrance with wear, just like the bright orange stitching turns dull copper on the rest.

The finn does fit a bit better than the kim, it's got a higher rise and slightly looser legs.

The jeans wont measure 27", you should be able to button them and pull them down to your waist or wherever you want to wear them. You want them to be snug at first, they'll stretch out.

I'm 181 CM and 76 KG, I can also fit myself to a 29 TF, but it's very tight, I'm a pretty muscular guy but I'm almost 10 CM taller than you, 30 is still tight on me but will stretch.

So would a 28 in these fit me well? Thanks to anyone who can help.

if you don't want a skin tight fit, go for natural waist. (28)

also, it's better if you post in the misc questions thread for these kind of questions next time

theorbb
28th March 2008, 09:29
you can still size down one and still achieve a skinny straight type of look. I definitely recommend doing this, otherwise the waist will definitely become too large for you.

You can check out my fit pics in the gallery if you like. I'm a true 30 but sized down to 29.

One of the hazards of wearing TFs very low. They look good this way, but consider the consequences to the crotch area. Wear them higher on the waist--they look good this way too when tight enough and you won't split the crotch stiching open.

both of mine are finns. its true i probably do wear them too low but i think its a combination of that, tighter cut and only 10.5oz denim. i think next ones i will get will be tims

have posted a pic of my dbc http://www.mynudies.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3053&page=66

i finally get my first dry nudie, TFODEU !!! i was so excited

but, when i try it on it is SUPER TIGHT ! like i said i used to wear 33/32 but this TF is 32/32. i have to hold my breath to get the button on. actually the problem is on the waist, i'm afraid that the button will break. is it okay if i keep wearing it ? or should i sell them to my friend ?

i'll post the pics

Use a belt that fits well/slightly tight and you should be fine (i mean for the button).

please check out the photo, i've just posted it. is the fit okay ?

iwannudies
7th May 2008, 14:22
Well that fit would be too skinny for me, but you've got a slim body so that fit looks alright as long as you rock them with slim fit shirts and tees. But hey if you feel they're too tight just sell them ;-)

i was thinking to sell them but i'm too excited with my first dry nudie  i just hope that the waist can be better. my friend told me to wear it to sleep, will it give any effects ?

My advice: don't do it, just wear the jeans like you would for other pairs. There will be a few days of pain, but they'll stretch out in the end.

If you try to speed up the stretching eg sleeping in them, might just increase the risk of a crotch rip.

I think they are a bit too tight.

Just sell them to your friend and go for the size up - it's worth it. Your gonna be wearing these for a while.

virginia

okay, thanks for the advice guys. i would wanna sell them, but it's hard to find nudie in my country. the nearest is in spore and it's the last stock they have

Yeah I met one of the two guys who does the distribution (Aus and NZ too) he's a really nice guy. He has an account on here, doesn't post much tho. He posted that stuff about these jeans before they became more popular. And his brother drives a really nice Audi! Nudie showroom in Sydney is something else man. Honestly. Thousands of Nudies everywhere, and no exageration. Massive roof hanging display about 10m in the air all automated to bring down whatever jeans you want to look at. Nice guy too.

windy 88 - did you have them posted to Indonesia? I wanna purchase a pair from them. Have been emailing them and so far no reply. I'm a bit worried on that part. How long did it take the jeans to arrive? Any complications? By the way, I a huge nudie fan residing at Malaysia. Thanks.

no, i have them sending to malaysia since i'm studying here, no worries at all bro, their service is really great. it took about 2 weeks to arrive here. are you malaysian? you may try their service. i would give 5 star rate for them.

yup i'm a malaysian. It seems the nearest place i could purchase a nudie is at singapore and everytime i head to nordic their thin finn are always sold out! Thanks for the heads up on the store. How much did they charge you for shipping?

windy88
21st May 2008, 20:48
^^ yea,, and it's not worth at all to buy some nudies at nordic,,, it's so freakin expensive,, i guess online site would be a better choice for us to get a cheaper deal. by the way, the shipping charge is about 24 euro and you could get back 19% which already included in the price stated as we are living outside europe.

not sure where to post this, but if i'm a levi's 30 wearer, is it safe to go down to size 28 for nudie thin finn organic dry ecru embo to account for the stretch?

is there any website where i can the exact measurement like, across waist, rise, hem etc?

and is there any minimum order require to order from http://www.drytillyoudie.nl?

Those who brought from there, how was the service? sorry for so many questions, kinda new to these.

what's ur waist measurement? sizing 1 down would be better for thin finn as it would prevent crotch ripping.

I found that the TF ecru embo didn't stretch as much as some of my other finns. They fit quite small particularly through the legs.

^^ yea, that's ****in' true,,, i have TFOEE in size 30 and i juz bought TFDGC in size 29 recently. The TFOEE seems to be smaller than my TFDGC eventhough they are in different sizes. would TFDGC stretch a lot after some wears?

superslim_zac

They shouldn't stretch too much, depends how tight they are on you as to how much they will stretch.

Waist, thighs and knee.

If they aren't too tight putting them on, chances are they won't stretch unbelievably.

They will stretch wherever the denim is pulling. So, you can expect it in the waist and possibly mid thighs and knees.

I have been wearing my EE Finn's for about 3 months now, they are definitely the best pair of jeans I have ever owned, the material is quality, they don't lose shape, I got size 30, when I first wore them for the first 2 weeks they were like spandex hehe, but after 2 weeks they softened and took my body shape, stretched a bit around the waist and thighs but not too much, they are simply perfect to wear now.

Overall this pair of jeans gets 10/10 for me so far, I got lovely fishnets behind my knees and the upper thighs are growing sharp mustaches as well, don't see actual fadings yet though... I have been wearing them straight every day for the last 3 months, weekdays and weekends as well, they are truely my second skin :)

Now it's to the question of the fading again, I don't see any, this is the first pair of Nudie's I'm really trying to actually wear for 6 months before wash, am I supposed to see the fades before the wash or mostly after?

superslim_zac
26th May 2008, 03:41
The organic denim seems to be a tough nut to crack, and because it's new not alot of people know how it will fade.

I would recommend just getting them dirty and wearing the hard - go crazy. Don't wash them until you can't stand the smell! Forget about the 6 months rule. Wait till they stink.

i can see mine are just starting to take off now. its been almost 5 months. just wait - keep wearing them

basically, if you dont see any fades before wash, you wont get much after washing. so wait until you see alot of fading before washing. you should try and wear for like 9 month, but 6 will be fine as well...
and you guys: could you post some pics??

I got a pair of these now and am loving them.
they have less elastin than my dry stretch and sized one size up from my tfbc to 30 rather than the 29 - partially because they didn't have anything smaller than a 30 (actually 30 was their last pair!) and I could only just button up the 30's.
