http://img511.imageshack.us/img511/1936/dsc02449qu7.jpg and http://www.drytillyoudie.nl/images/nudiehighkairinsedfr.jpg http://www.matthewizzo.com/catalog/images2/thinfinn2.jpg the pictures look completely different. are they almost black or are they light blue? the first picture is from a guy that says he bought them and that the color is lighter than in real life and the others are from websites. they look completely different. also do these jeans bleed like dry jeans?

You're asking about two different jeans... The first is the TF Indigo Coated which are actually bright blue. They were only released on the Australian market. The latter pair is TF Ultra Indigo Coated which, as you have seen for yourself, are much darker.

cameland

The indigo coateds arent that blue as they appear in the picture. They are a shade or 2 darker.

The second pair isn't even coated...

They seem too. I hear that they will wash blue. They are so beautiful.

i just saw these on context and they look pretty righteous, just a nice deep navy blue.

joshwhite
23rd July 2007, 09:06

Go try them in a shop. If they're too tight, size up and wear a belt, if sizing up makes the fit look weird, wait till they release them in another cut. Simple as.

I just gont a pair the other day.

They seem black with indigo stitching.

even thought it says they're coated I really couldn't tell. I thought they were just dry black when I bought them.

I'm pretty sure that its a black dye though the name may lead you to believe differently.

but I'm really lovin them.

iwannudies
13th August 2007, 10:16
These aren't black at all. I've compared them side by side with a SJ DBC. These are really a shade of very very very dark blue. You only notice it when its next to a pair of DBC ;)

NudiesinTucson
13th August 2007, 10:36
I dont have a pair of TF DBC to compare t to, but it looks pretty damn black to me

Are you sure your talking about the TF ultra indigo coated???

Sarge
13th August 2007, 10:49
they're not gonna have indigo in the name if its not blue. It might be the same sort of thing as the original xbox....everyone swears its black until its in the sun next to something black and you realise it is in fact very very very dark green.

iwannudies
13th August 2007, 10:50
Yeah, they came in along with the SJDBC at the nudie store in melb ;)

There aren't many broken in pairs of these yet.

They look good as a pair of dress pants.

Marcel and Roger said that these fade like other dry jeans, as well as get shiny.

I saw a pic in one of the new nudie books that I THINK had a pair of faded UIC. If they are what I think they are, then they will look pretty sweet.

iwannudies
14th August 2007, 14:37
Can you plz scan a pic of that booklet page?

bilmaga
14th August 2007, 14:56
No scanner.

The book came with my dry copper, so I'm sure someone else with a scanner can help out here. Anyone with a new book should have the same pics.

iwannudies
14th August 2007, 15:03
Ahh or you can take a photo with your camera? But only if you're free :D Thanks.

I will try later on.

deviousfool

i finally got them. from what i've seen, the backpocket stitching seems to be made of dark blue threads for TFUIC, while the TFDBC threads are black coloured. they felt somewhat stiffer compared to my TFDS. now i'm not gonna buy any jeans for the next 2 years yay !

I'll most likely get a pair of these soon. I wish Nudie would releast a Nudie Thin Finn Dry Grey Coated!!!

Does DTYD still only sell them in NL?

taffetapunk
15th September 2007, 05:01
im seriously thinking about getting a pair of these
i love the dark, waxy blue

it looks like a pair of dry TF's that got dipped into wax

very cool

bilmaga
15th September 2007, 08:34
If you like the waxed concept, these are a good buy. Even though I don't wear these alot, I still am happy that I got a pair.

deviousfool
15th September 2007, 09:08
i agree that they look really good :-D but the color is too dark it seems like TFDBC (except for the threads). but i have no idea how they will fade though. would love to have them fade to blue-ish color

cameland
15th September 2007, 12:38
The thought just suddenly occurred to me that these remind me a lot of the nandoxnando jeans...

Maybe it would fade the same way but shiny?

bilmaga
15th September 2007, 14:13
These still have a white weft. But I think these will fade to a deep blue colour like the nandoxnando.

taffetapunk
18th September 2007, 01:17
does anyone know how shiny these get?

cameland
18th September 2007, 01:21
On the universally accepted scale of shiny, as approved of S.D.F.F.A. It has a rating of about 7╨ out of 10╨. Quite impressive really.

cameland
18th September 2007, 01:22
Honestly, I'll think they'll get as shiny as the dry black coated finns, theres no reason they shouldn't, its probably been treated the same way.

hahahaha
"On the universally accepted scale of shiny"

i wasnt sure if the black would make the shine more noticeable

I'm confused are these the blue TF's or the dark almost black TF's?

My mate has the blue ones, I think they were released only in Australia and they are super sassy.

iwannudies
18th September 2007, 09:22
These are dark blue TFs which almost look black. The ones your mate has are TF Indigo Coateds, not ultra ones, and they are indeed exclusive to Aus :p

I got a Thin Finn Indigo Coated for sale in the size 32 x 34 for 100 euro!
I weared the jeans 2 days and never washed it. It's not my style.
If you are interested post me.

iwannudies
18th September 2007, 12:47
For the record, the ones you have for sale are pre-wash TF indigo coateds. The ones I meant were TF Dry Indigo Coated.

Bratlie
18th September 2007, 13:43
so the indigo coated came in boh prewash and dry? that would cerainly explain a lot to me.. because when I searched for pics of the jeans with google I only found prewash. but the ones I've seen here seemed to be dry. anywhooo.. I'd really like to see some better pics av both the Indigo and the Ultra Indigo (can't go to a shop and see them irl because there are no shops here that has them.

cameland
18th September 2007, 13:49
This is close to the actual colour.

Cheers mate. the Dry indigo looks a hell of a lot darker on those pics, and I guess thats what they really look like, I think they are awesome, wish they made jims or alfs in that color.

iwannudies
18th September 2007, 14:23
Yeah, the dry indigo coated colour is very nice. I also wished they made Average Joe Dry Indigo Coateds.

im wondering, i was looking through one of my old nudie books and saw this picture

http://i7.tinypic.com/4knzwag.jpg

is this how i can expect the TFUIC to fade?

ninjapie
22nd September 2007, 01:59
Looks kind of nice.

I might have to pick up a pair for the greater glory of this forum, in that case.

taffetapunk
22nd September 2007, 03:05
does anyone have experience with these?

i ordered a pair from cultizm but im a little nervous about them

cameland
22nd September 2007, 03:22
A couple of guys have both the ultras and the normals. They seem okay! Not my style though.

deviousfool
22nd September 2007, 05:21
what are you nervous about ? they look very similar to TFDBCs, but with a dark blue stitching. I haven't seen them broken in yet. I'm starting on mine at the start of October. ;-)

taffetapunk
22nd September 2007, 06:24
well i wanted blue, not black. im ok with "almost" black, if its really a deep indigo. but i dont want black

cameland
22nd September 2007, 06:25
Up against anything black they don't look black. I think the main thing that makes them look blue is the stitching.

taffetapunk
22nd September 2007, 06:49
thanks for that info cameland! that was my main concern. i ordered them from cultizm so they should be here monday or tuesday

deviousfool
22nd September 2007, 08:26
well all i can say is they're really really really dark blue to black-ish. came's right, if you have TFUIC and TFDBC next to each other then you can tell that they're just a bit bluer.
i posted a picture of them in the dry coated section if you wanna check them out.

taffetapunk
23rd September 2007, 04:37
hows the stretch on the TFUIC? same as the normal TFDS? i know it runs about 1cm bigger or something but do they stretch a little less?

bilmaga
23rd September 2007, 05:53
The TFUIC are 99% cotton. So the construction is different. But, I think stretching will happen regardless. The tighter they are, the more they will stretch.

deviousfool
23rd September 2007, 06:38
haven't noticed much stretching from mine yet.. prob cos they are not worn that often. I reckon TFDS stretches more but i'm not too sure abt this

taffetapunk
23rd September 2007, 20:53
yeah i was hoping they didnt stretch as much since they run a little bigger

taffetapunk
26th September 2007, 03:55
got them in the mail today and they are great

look black but in the sun can see an almost blue sheen to them

ill post fit pics some time later

mjg
27th September 2007, 02:50
ive been contemplating getting these but i'm interested to see how the colour is.

taffetapunk
27th September 2007, 04:29
i was nervous about the color too.
they look black
but in the sun have a sort of blue sheen

you can tell that when they fade they will fade to a blue

also they are really stiff and start out with a waxy feel

im really happy with them

spacemanvt
