Hey :D

I'm looking for a new wax to my hair, but I'm a bit conffused.. Don't really know witch one i should take, im looking for a wax that give the hair a "Matt Look" it doesn't need to be that strong :)

You guys have anything to say here ? XD

never ever use wax if u need a matt look.
Try Matrix DT(Dirty Trix)

Its clay based produkt that gives a matt natural look but gives the hair texture and helps you style your hair just like a heavy wax.
And its easy to wash out.

Following:
1. Osmo Essence Clay
2. ID Hard Mud Clay
3. OSIS+ Mess Up Matt Gum
and
4. Sebastian Xtah Crude Clay (Probaly that's the best, but the price is also that way XD)

I use Tigi Hair Care, it's really good, but it costs something.

www.tigihaircare.com look at the 'Bed Head' section and then get the 'HARD TO GET', it's a round ball with wax,

heh thats the same stuff that i use when i cut my hair short
i used to have some that was in a stick and it worked very well to create a matt look that wasnt too gummy or greasy

sebastian got excellent products, used to have their twisted taffee...
but yeah, they are expensive...

now I'm using l'Oreal tecni.art a-head glue, basically because it's not so aggressive on your hair and scalp, but it's still a good strong product, it ain't a lot cheaper then sebastian tho...

Just stop washing your hair. Its free and it gives you a good natural texture and your hair becomes pliable. It actually doesn't smell bad unless you smoke and as long as you continue to wash your body.

Lou2006
30th March 2007, 00:28
thats true, it works well for me. i think this depends on your hair type, and doesn't look so good on girls. girls should be dirty, but there's a time and a place

Sorry if this has been answered before, but what's the difference among using wax, clay, pomade, gel, or any other hair style product? Is one of them better than the other. Most of the time I use gel, then I discovered pomade, but it can be a pain to wash it out.

zatoichi
2nd December 2008, 00:17
just different effect...
gel = shiny and usually turns hard/extremely hard. good for hard/wet spikes
wax = bit soft and usually gives a "softer" matt look. Will also show the layers in your hair.
clay = bit like wax, but dryer and has more holding power. better for dry big spikes.
pomade = nasty shit

Anyone has proper experience of shaving your head yourself? What kind of blade you use and how do you shave the back of the head?

BlakFate
2nd May 2009, 22:28
i normally get friends to do mine, because thats easiest, i just use a regular trimmer, with the 1/4 inch guard.
im sure if you just talk to some friends they would be willing to do the back for you.

self edge
2nd May 2009, 23:42
ive done it myself and just use a standard hair trimmer (i think i got mine at walmart). ive used a number 1(1/4 cm) on the sides and back and a 2 (1/2 cm) on top as well as just a 1 all over. depending on how long my hair is ill just lean over the bathtub and make sure i dont miss any spots.
pretty easy really.

I want to get my haircut and change my hairstyle so bad, but I can't find any shorted styles that I like, or that I think would look good on me.
I'm looking for a more mature look I guess.
:(

BlakFate
4th May 2009, 04:51
find an experienced barber, and just ask him for a classic mature look
it will probably be pretty generic, but if they are experienced you will get a helluva cut
when someone knows how to cut hair it always comes out well, unless its too "edgy"
