Epilogue
22nd February 2007, 13:53
Yeah, so here is the topic for musicians. If there is anything to talk about eqipment, here is the right place.
I am saving for a Mayones guitar(www.mayones.pl or www.mayones.com), for finaly starting a band after 12 years of playing for myself, hehe.

I've been using a C.F.Martin matte black acoustic/electric, which I'm really happy with... Recording-wise, Shure 57 and 58 mics, Tascam 8-track digital recorder/mixer, soon to use a Yamaha electronic drum kit for the beat. I'll have to get a bass soon to fill in a bit as well. Works well for my acoustic noodling and songwriting with friends.

gibson sg classic
marshall JTM45 clone (weber kit, handbuilt w/ custom parts by a friend)
fender hot rod deville 4x10 (which is currently for sale)
gibson J45 circa 1966 acoustic (tuned to open A for slide)
Electro harmonix big muff pi (NYC reissue)
electro harmonix small stone
fender blender
vox v847 wah
digitech whammy 4
sustain punch creamy dreamer
various other pedals that i've stopped using...

i'm selling my fender to buy a nice avatar 2x12 cabinet w/ vintage 30's for my marshall, and i'm planing on getting a nice 335 clone or an epiphone sheraton 2. once i get my new computer, or my brother gets his old mac fixed and gives it to me, i have my M-audio fasttrack to record onto the computer w/. i'm gonna get cubase and some good beat making software and start making some jams so i can DJ local parties and what not. that kinda stuff is gonna be more like LCD soundsystem/girl talk/ratatat/electronic bands in that vein. i'm gonna record some more rocking stuff when i get a band together, but musicians around here are all about emo bullshit...

anyways heres my baby :D

is beautiful...

Someone makes a very SIMPLE track
next person add some melody..
next person add some more melody..

Gibson Custom Shop 1958 goldtop Les Paul
Moog Ring Modulator
Maxon AD900
Sovtek Mig50 (rndm offshoot)
Reeves 2x12

I used to own a Sovtek MIG 60. It was a good amp, but I needed cash more than I needed it.

This is my current setup:

Fender Telecaster w/ SD Hot Rails
Boss Tremolo
Line 6 DL4
DOD EQ
70s Peavey Deuce (converted from a 2x12 combo into a head)
Sunn 412R

Random keyboard/recording stuff:

Roland Juno 106 (for sale)
M Audio Keystation 49e
Alesis io|2
Ableton Live 6
Acid Pro 6.0
FM7
Absynth 3
EZ Drummer Vintage
Line 6 POD

I used to play in a doom metal band called Back When (www.myspace.com/backwhen), and also have an electronic project called Cities of the Future (www.myspace.com/citiesofthefuture). I'm currently just writing demo tracks to hopefully assemble a band at some point in the future.

Fhunkit's collaboration idea is awesome. I'd be willing to throw a few tracks down.

My flatmate has a sweet Taylor Big Baby. He had a Luthier fix a hairline crack on it and lower the action a bit.

I'm more of a recreational musician if I can be called that at all. Seeing as I only learned from watching and reading tabs here and there. But either way I'm in the IE area in Southern Cali but I just moved out here from Chicago last year.

the current one is yes, the original sg classic aka the sg special (circa 1964-1966) had only 1 p90 pickup, or one humbucking pickup ala Pete Townsend early on when he started with them. the two p90 sg's were introduced in 1968 and became townsends guitar for the next three years.

i kinda idolize pete townsend.... :P

Well for the most part I just chilled out here just cause I do or did so much driving during the week back and forth from Irvine I had no intentions of driving more then I had too. There were a couple of times I'd go to LA but only cause I'd get dragged out to a bar/club or something. But now that I get to work from home, that'll change for sure. As it is I'm saving up close too $300 in gas and tolls a month so I can easily just go anywhere from time to time now at my leisure.

What about you?

Mostly guitarists here, huh?

Alright: I own a 12-string Hohner Guitar, an old Ovation Celebrity CC167 (not sure about the number though) with a Marshall Acoustic Amp, and for the noisy stuff some rubbish Epiphone Les Paul.

Other than that, I play the Cajon:

and two Didgeridoos, one in C and one in D.

I sing as well… Any more vocalists?
