ACNE jeans

so i keep hearing alot about this brand, and it's easy to get in my hometown. the site is pretty non-descript, and the models look stupid, i don't like it at all. i was wondering, which of them fit like a slim jim, and what's to them, are they selvage, anti-lift, raw, rinsed, what's the deal? thanks.

The fit closest to Nudie SJ are the model Max. Compared to SJ the these jeans will look better with sneakers, since the are tapered (I guess thats the word, right?). My Nudie SJDJ 29/32 measures ~20cm at the leg opening, while my Acne Max Raw 30/32 measures ~17cm.

Here in Sweden Acne is a bit more expensive then Nudie. I payed ?100 for my raw Acnes, and ?90 for my raw Nudies.
I might upload some pictures comparing the two models later on, if someone is interested.

im curious about this brand aswell. a friend of mine bought a pair of acne drys, and the girl that sold him the jeans told him that the sooner he washed them the more fading (lighter) they would get. He told me that the girl seemed to know what she was talking about. does anyone know anything about this? seems strange to me..

I've seen a pair of really wicked acne's on superdenim recently, they had the most beautiful dirty faded look with an extreme amount of knee whiskers.
Didn't know nothing about the brand before i saw these but they've drawn my attention.
I don't think they are anywhere in stores here in Holland, never seen them, plus the name sounds a bit odd to us dutchies.
If i tell someone i have acne they think of something else, not a pair of jeans for sure.

The fit is pretty amazing. pretty slim like a slim jim or a grim tim. there is a little bit of stretch which is good. The only concern I have is: They fit perfectly right now, im wondering if they will stretch out too much to the point where they are too big or baggy. They are dry and state that they should be worn for a few months before washing, however, is it safe to assume that they wont stretch out too much and should retain most of their shape because of the stretch material in them?

Is that generally true for most dry stretch denim? That they wont get ridiculous knee bulges or that the waist wont stretch too much?

I bought a pair of Acne tight bleach blonde from Tobi at a great price. I really like the jean--so much better than CM. They are really slim but not uncomfortable. They do stretch out more than Nudies, but I washed 'em, so I'm hoping the tightness was restored.

Acne jeans,,, I'm not so sure. I feel they are bit over-priced and the fabric is not as good as nudie (and they are cheaper).

I think acne "max raw" is the one like slim jim?
I really would rather buy nudie and take the backpocket stitch out :)

In my honest opinion the whole brand is a load of bs . "Swedish Minimalistic lifestyle" Okay yeah...dry jeans that have no branding..makes sense..but at those price points? Hardly "Minimalistic" , more like clothes for elitist niche people.

I just bought a pair today which was originally $299 but were 70% off so they were like $90 bucks. The fit so far is amazing and the "minimalistic" look is brilliant. If they weren't so cheap at the boutique I would of never spent the original price; but after wearing them all day I'm really starting to love the feel.

It was sad taking off my 1yr old SJDJ to wear the ACNE jeans. The fabric is a lot softer but that usually means less denim life and more stretch so....in do time.

The S/S 09 Acne Alternative Mod. Raw are wicked, just got them, I can't wait to see how they fade.They're organic but my SJAO faded alot so who knows. They are a fit between APC ns and Thin Finn, very stiff and slubby. I think they'll be nice in about 6 months.

Elitist niche people, ey, I think you may be looking into this a little much. So it's OK for Dior to price at $500-$1000, but acne is catering to elitist scum? There is a hundred more expensive "elitist" brands. And minimalistic has nothing to do with pricing, If you have a minimalistic style it doesn't have to mean you buy your clothes at goodwill, it has more to do with crisp clean cuts and styles.

I have the Max Raw, been wearing them for 6 months. I bought size 30/32, my natural waist size being around 31. They stretched to almost 32 in the first 2 months, but they haven't since.
Now it's all about fades and whiskers ;-)
On the other hand, I used to have a pair of APC NS. I had sized down to 28 (measured it was more like 29 but very stiff denim so felt tighter), and they stretched a lot and ended up like a 34 I think. :-o Also the crotch ripped after abt 3 months :-?
I prefer the Max over NS, but really they're a different cut, Max is much more slimmer and with a lower crotch.

Thanks! I got mine from my brother who left them in his closet untouched for 2 years or so. Guess they have changed some things to the design since mine were made. They have stretched quite a bit, so dont worry!

How does the Acne "black wax" denim compare to Nudie black coated?

I tried on a pair of acnes. They fit amazing, but smallest size they have (28/32) does not fit me, unless it is belted. Are raws supposed to fit without belts? Does the denim stretch out? I also thought that the back pocket to be a little to big and low.

And does it make a difference that the material is more lightweight than other raws?
