Yes, plenty of Nudies in Holland. If everyone put what country they were from we could keep track of popularity in different countries.

Hi, I am from BC but living in Ontario right now for university. Nudies are sold at Holt Renfrew, so if you are near/in Toronto, you can get them there.

Born in Toronto Mississauga, Ontario.
Does it count? :)
My parents are both swedish though, lived in Toronto in the late seventies since my dad worked for a swedish steel estate established in town, named Sandvik.....Then we went back home to the county of Modo Hockey with Peter Forsberg as eternal regent.

Canada is still great and as many other I see lots of similiarties between the two countries....

After reading about Nudie for the first time in March 05, I bought a pair at Body Blue on Queen West (near Trinity-Bellwoods) after my girlfriend dragged me in there. Apparently my Club Monaco "Jean 3" jeans weren't cutting it for her. Anyway, the sales girl and my girlfriend were shocked that I was sold on the first pair of jeans I tried on, which were 34 x 34 Regular Ralf "Old Used" (for $250).

Then I became obsessed with the dry jeans. Unfortunately, Body Blue didn't have dry Regular Ralfs in my size. (Apparently Body Blue also has a store on the Danforth, but who wants to go shopping in Riverdale?) Then I found a pair of dry Ralfs at Holt Renfrew, but they were $300! (I found out afterwards that these may have been selvage.)

So I hit Due West at Queen & Spadina, having decided that I probably need a 33 x 34 if I'm going to wear them for a long time without washing (ie they will stretch a bit in the waist). Unfortunately, Due West didn't have a 33 x 34, and they said the Canadian Nudie distributor in Montreal is out of dry Ralfs in my size.

So, after reading the another posting on this site and a jeans article in the Toronto Star, I went way east on Queen to Up To You. It's an interesting lifestyle store on the second floor, above a chicken takeaway. Anyway, there they were, 33 x 34 dry Ralfs for $195. They also carry Whipping Floyd t-shirts and Acupuncture trainers. The only thing is, this store is in the middle of nowhere, across from the old house at the Ashbridge's estate. I hope it survives...

Back to the original topic if that's alright...

I'm from Canada as well, Alberta to be more specific...Holt Renfrew is a fantastic place to get nudies in Canada...they've got some stores accross the country.

I am from Alberta Canada myself. I got my Slim Jim's from a place called High Grade. They are a rockerish boutique and the staff know there stuff pretty good. I will be hitting a place called Derks for the denim jacket.

Sounds like you are from Edmonton then? Me too. I got my Nudie gear at Gravity Pope though. I did not even check out High Grade, though I know they have a large selection of the washed nudies. How is their dry selection, and cost? At GP they were 195 for RR greycast. And they had the nudie shirts there to, the button ups, but I think they were close to 300.

I really do not care for High Grade too much. Their service I find very sub-prime, especially for the premium prices they charge. And often the staff seem arrogant, especially if you go in there not looking like you are heading straight to the club after.

Yeah my current position is Edmonton HEWSINATOR. High grade just brought in some of the rr dry sal for 199. And two of the staff already have the thinn finn's. I know what you mean though, the staff really is stand offish and other than the one manager they don't know all that much about the products. They would not tell me where they got there thinn finn's from! I heard that 'Henrey' just off whyte has a great selection but have not been there personally yet. As for shirts Derks had them but I am not too sure if they still do. The Staff there are the best that I think. Gravity Pope has there clothes laid out like a thrift store, and they were VERY limited on there nudie selection the last time I was there. On a side note they are the only place I know of that sells Fred Perry.

Toronto Canada here....

i go out a damn lot - hardly ever see anyone wearing Nudies around. I know they're being sold, cuz they move off the shelves well. The only people I see wearing Nudies are people working the stores that sell em.

RRDS for $199 CDN? That's damn cheap for retail - everywhere in T.O. sell em for $299....but I picked mine from Kitchener for $185 CDN and a 20 day wait.

i envy all the canucks who still in school....are you guys seeing a lot of Nudies on campus?

I actually haven't really heard that a lot. I'm from Toronto, but I've got Swedish roots in me somewhere. And Finnish too.

I suppose there are a lot of shared values (strong socialist values and high taxation/large social safety net), but what else do Swedes and Canadians share? Just curious...

Weird, so many edmonton people...

I haven't bought any nudies yet but I was in at Derks the other day and for dry (what i'm lookin for) they only had RR's ($200 CND) and Slim Jim's ($185), however the Slim Jim's were black. Dude was super helpful and not at all pretencious, which is what I usually expect at stores like Derks/High Grade etc etc. Regardless I was actually pretty surprised by the prices maybe cause they're arent selvage.

I would definitely cop the Slim Jim's if they were blue, however the sales associate said they're getting in a new cut within two weeks, that's somewhere between RR and SJ for bagginess.

I live probabaly 10 minutes (not counting time spent with those bastard US immigration officers) from Detroit. No I don't talk funny either, people from Calgary and even Toronto have that hardcore Canadian accent. And people who go to the University of Western in London are pansies.

I've been to Calgary before and I noticed a difference, you would probably think I was American too. Everything around Windsor is American, I kinda hate it. If the US wasn't so damn federalist, Windsor would be considered Canadian-American, sorta like you can be Austrian Italian.
Bilmaga - is it true that if you're from Calgary you are a die hard flames fan and hate Edmonton. I heard when Calgary and Edmonton play each other the battle of Alberta is pretty intense.

I live in Vancouver. I was raised in Toronto, was born in Bratislava but mum is Czech.

I like Toronto a lot and Vancouver too. It's not surprising that they are such different cities since they are so far apart. Having said that, when I moved to Vancouver I was really surprised at how different it is! There is a slightly different accent from Toronto, like the 'internet' is the 'innernet'.

The animosity that I experienced here towards Toronto and people from Toronto was the biggest surprise. I am just really happy that my parents chose to come to Canada because I love it here.

oh yeah...nudies..so I like the Kim's SO much, Black Black John's to wear with my Black and Gold air max', and Denim birds straight for when I'm taking it easy.

Price is no big deal for me because I have a boutique out here and we sell them so I get pretty good deals year round. We will be up and running with on line sales pretty soon so if you can't find what you're looking for we may be able to help you out......but because I'm a denim snob we only sell dry Nudie and Denimbirds, no washes. Or just come visit.

Im from Nashua, NH and closest retail is an hour away in Boston, MA. Population of Nudies in Nashua is 4. They all go to my high school. I guess I can't be sure that no one else is wearing them but we don't really have a legit college here so most likley no one is wearing them there.
