View Full Version : Jeans For Family

Hey guys. I'm thinking about getting my little brothers some quality denim for Christmas. They're not as tall as me, thank goodness. Younger brother A is slightly thicker than me. He wears 32x34. Younger brother B is as skinny, if not skinner, than me, but he doesn't wear skinny jeans. I think he's about 30 or 31x34.
What are some suggestions? I don't want to spend more than ~$200 a pair. Nudie's Slim Jims seem like they should be about the right size, but I want to know if there are better options. Looking on Blue In Green's site, I saw these Left Field jeans (http://blueingreensoho.com/site/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=shop.flypage&product_id=9625&category_id=&manufacturer_id=50&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1) that look just about perfect for either of them. Any other suggestions?

Can't go wrong with A.P.C. New Standards IMO -- nice, quality denim with minimal branding. Only issue with those is the sizing... just make sure you keep a gift receipt :P

The sizing is why I'm not too hot on APC. Plus it seems like APCs wear out really fast, judging from how many shredded crotches there are on SuFu and the like.

How about Edwins? You can find them online at Cultizm: https://www.cultizm.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=edwin&page=1
I know next to nothing about them...but I'm sure if you did a bit of digging around you could find a bit of info (or some other folks here may be able to help??) Sorry!
There's always Naked and Famous, too.

The Left Fields fade to an incredibly great result, esp. considering their price. on the context hp were some faded jeans of that brand. Yeah, APC would be an option, too. I have noexperience with Naked & Famous, but if your brothers are into modern fits, they could be an option, too. And for the beginning any kind of raw denim will do, if they catch fire they'll update to japanese brands anyway soon.

My Mother is 66 and UK size 16 short
She was very happy with the Marks and Spencer Per Una boot cut that I surprised her with - at a cost of £30!!
She doesn't understand "real denim"
