Would like to know how the fading ablilities of those are?!? I donĀ“t like those creases...

22nd May 2011, 13:18
That makes two of us!

They are 100% cotton but only 10 oz. They will definitely be an interesting fade - a black shiny coating fading with indigo-colored creases !

22nd May 2011, 13:31
the fabric looks really cool, i would definately picked these up if they came in tljs though. It will be shiny but yull have indigo combs, whiskers, and etc freakin wicked.

22nd May 2011, 13:46
So is this black coating somethng like an overdye?! Think so... Really an interesting par of denim!

22nd May 2011, 14:06
I won't start on a new project until after summer, this is definitely a hot candidate =) I'd love some reports though... =)

22nd May 2011, 14:22
hey friedrich, if you are eventually gonna pick this pair up i would suggest to do so right now, cause nudie has a tendency to randomly just start dropping styles and replace with more prewashes haha.

24th May 2011, 12:46
The Black Coated Indigo is also be available for the GT =)

Just wondering, how will they turn out if i washed mine? (havnt been washed yet, only worn about 10 times)
i dont really like the shine on the jeans, a little too much lol

will the shine go away? or will the jeans turn out even more shiny?

28th May 2011, 06:15
The shine should go away with a wash (or at least become a bit less pronounced).

28th May 2011, 11:23
You'll lose shine and some of the black color. I tried these on yesterday in the Nudie store, I'll upload some pictures when I'm not too lazy, and the guy in the store said that as they lose black color when wasted, you can either wear them in or wash them in.

28th May 2011, 12:43
So is there any chance that the indigo inside the black coating will fade into or similar to the color of a regular dry pair? Provided that it is being worn for a long time and not washed.

28th May 2011, 12:49
Yeah they should fade into a similar color seeing as they both are indigo jeans =)

28th May 2011, 13:06
Yeh thats what I thought too..but I reckon it will take more time than a regular pair, see that one has to fade his jeans through the black coating then slowly fade through the indigo layer.

GOD I love Nudie. Tomorrow the concept store in Stockholm has 40% off on EVERYTHING from SS11. I think I'm gonna pick up some TDBCI 30/34 for 800 SEK - GREAT SUCCESS ^_^

31st May 2011, 16:10
Damn that's really unfair. BTW can you pick one pair up for me and ship it free over to Aus? =) 800 SEK is only ~120 AUD which is half price of retail nudies.

if i want to wash off the coated shine on the jeans, how would i wash them? cold or warm water? and hand wash or machine?

7th June 2011, 06:47
Just machine wash them in whatever temperature you like, the shine should wash off pretty quickly I believe.

7th June 2011, 07:35
alright, thanks for the help guys

2nd July 2011, 07:32
Any word or pics of how these are looking?

8th July 2011, 16:12
Howdy. New here, though have visited this site for over a year. If anyone's interested, especially Aussies, I just got super lucky and purchased a pair of TFBCI w31 L32 for $57.00 AU ($60 US) brand new from My-Wardrobe, including postage. That has now halved my previously cheapest buy for Nudies. Get on My-Wardrobe if you're interested/send a PM for free shipping deets!

thx for the tip, but only hobbit lengths left :-) show some pics, when they arrived!

9th July 2011, 03:28
Will do! They still have cheap Nudies in other models, e.g I was also thinking about picking up SJDBC for about $67 US??

9th July 2011, 06:37
I was actually thinking of doing the same! I don't really NEED a new pair of jeans right now, but those prices are crazy. Never even heard of this site before today.

9th July 2011, 06:59
Sometimes you just can't resist...

11th July 2011, 06:22
im thinking of getting black jeans... and its either this one thin fin... or Grim Tim Black Black Slubs

hmmm but which one?

16th October 2011, 13:51
Anyone interested in buying a pair of 30/34 TFBCI? Nudie tag is still on them, I think I even can find the receipt =)

21st October 2011, 02:22
How much do these jeans stretch? also, I just got a pair and mine have spots that are kinda scratched up for the style. Are they supposed to have any marks or are they supposed to be just fully black and untouched? Someone please clear this up for me.

Thanks :)

25th October 2011, 10:02
^I don't know about the stretching part. The marks are supposed to be there.

26th October 2011, 06:59
@ fredrich
i saw some nudies at the mall that werent very shiny plus no marking on them :) So im just gonna buy those and give away my current nudies :D

12th December 2011, 14:06
But I got a size too big. :(
Anyone wanna buy it? It's size 30/32. Still new with tag. Only tried on once. Duh.

Where are you shipping from?

I can't believe these aren't more popular. They're my all time favorite pair of jeans even though I really only wear dry jeans these days. Absolutely love them. Just wish they had a TLJ version of BCI.

17th April 2012, 04:53
Not that I plan on it any time soon, but does soaking them lose the black coating or just the shininess?

Max Power
17th April 2012, 08:25
Washing them will take the coating away. A gentle soak might keep it in, but I have no particular experience with this. If you wnat to keep the shine by all means, don't soak.

17th April 2012, 18:07
I definitely want to keep the shine, I just figure one day I will have the wash them(hopefully not for a year or two). I know water kills the shine, but I'm curious about the black over the indigo. It almost seems like the black is part of the coating...I don't want to lose the black.

19th April 2012, 05:19
hey guys are these real? they are my first pair of nudies, I bought them off someone on another forum and after looking at them online I noticed the patches are different. idk if that matters if they are an older pair or etc.

if you need anymore pics let me know, thank you!

old stock, but legit

10th June 2012, 07:17
Hey guys i have a question, in about 2 weeks it will be my 6th month after buying my TFBCI jeans and im curious as to how i should wash them, i feel the shine is a little too intense for my taste but then again i dont mind a slight shine. My real concern is whether or not i should use soap to wash them or just use plain water to clean and get some coating off but without fully getting rid of the coating, i heard if you us soap it completely gets rid of it. Any suggestions would be fanastic!

10th June 2012, 13:06
These are actually not the Black Coated Indigo, but rather the old stock of TF Dry Black Coated. Lovely shine compared to the newer stocks of TFDBC, would really like to get my hands on a pair. BTW totally dig that leather patch

15th July 2012, 01:39
Hi. first post. Long time reader

anyway, found a store in Oslo that actually still sell these. (not many left thou) I had a pair but I thought they were a bit too tight (cause of no stretch at all). Finally I found them again and I was so happy I bought 2 haha, because Nudie aint gonna make anymore.

16th July 2012, 00:06
also, I forgot to mention that they only had size 32, im usually 29 in Thin Finn. They are a bit baggier than my other Nudie Jeans, but I actually like a wide range of fits on my jeans.

BTW baggier fit of the coated Indigo looked really cool, and is much more comf.
