View Full Version : To soon to wash?

27th January 2010, 00:31
Hey guys, my first thread. Please go easy on me if I should've posted this elsewhere. And yes, I've read the washing guides. And yes again, I've skimmed the other "wash or not" threads.

Okay so I'm in 6 months in my Thinn Finn Dry Stretch (28/33~) and washing approaches but I'm not really content with the fades thus far. I've worn them a LOT so I am quite confused with the result to be honest.

I am thinking of using your expertise to decide whether to soak, wash, rub them in gravel mixed with milk or whatnot. LET ME KNOOOOW.

I blame the sun for the poor picture quality - winter in Sweden tends to be pretty dark.

So please let me know. Wash? Soak? No?

Rub them in gravel mixed with milk, don't forget the chocolate sauce!

wash 40° with no detergent inside out...

27th January 2010, 00:48
they look awesome, don´t wash -> wear!

27th January 2010, 00:51
wait a couple of months imo

27th January 2010, 01:04
It is always too soon.

27th January 2010, 01:04
be happy with those, they're pretty damn nice

27th January 2010, 01:04
I was just kidding man, I would keep wearing them if I were you. Great progress so far.

Thanks for a lot of quick responses and compliments

To agree with a lot of you, I think it is always to soon to wash. But for the competition I feel like I should wash them to have a chance. I have a hard time sleeping because of this, HELP MEEEE DDDD:

dont think about washing them...
wear them!

27th January 2010, 15:37
yeah. if you mean the w&t contest. wash two days before it ends... Then you will have a nice contrast. Washing you jeans once after 6 months + won´t hurt em...

27th January 2010, 18:17
They're looking good man. I say keep wearing them.

28th January 2010, 15:16
Keep wearing them and they´ll turnout awesome :]

28th January 2010, 16:33
Thanks guys. I'll post some pictures the week before the Wear&Tear-comp ends (round about February 20th) with an update

14th February 2010, 16:12
Hello again! I got some better pictures of the last weeks progress. Do you think they are ready yet?

And some details:

I'd be grateful if you could give me your honest opinion cause my mom and my friends aren't that much into jeans. :'[[

14th February 2010, 16:15
this is your wear and tear pair, right? I would wait some more days and wash in the end of the contest... two or three days before, then dry and you´ll be fine.

15th February 2010, 09:29
wow... poor picture quality? those are as crisp as lays potato chip man lol...

and those jeans are bangin...
teach me how to get ass fades like that...

29th March 2010, 20:55
Keep wearing them.
If there is no main reason to wash then keep wearing.
Unless its like developing mold or a horrible stench wear on brother !

30th March 2010, 23:21
There was a reason - W&T, hotwashed last month :>>

31st March 2010, 10:18
think you needed to wear them harder to win the contest. your dry stretch doesn't look like its been thru very much.

31st March 2010, 10:50
I beg to differ! We'll see what Nudie says I guess :>>

31st March 2010, 11:07
I would wear those longer...just started to show some fading.

11th April 2011, 02:09

Haha yeah you definitely deserve getting killed for that ;-) So how are your contest Finns doing now? They should be about >1.5-years old by now, am I right? You won 5th place or something, didn't you? Great looking Finns mate!

15th May 2011, 05:19
Yeah Freidrich, post up a more recent photo of your finns and some fitting photos man! Those Finns looked soooo goood! ^^

15th May 2011, 12:04
I'll snap some photos when the sun is out but they have been worn like 5 times since spring 2010 so don't expect anything :P
